We like our space at The Pit Stop, in Quartzsite-AZ; for being an active place where RVr's come and go pretty much around the clock, it's relatively quiet.

Heading upstairs to bed, last night, Holland said, "If we could breathe easy, this is the place to be - at first, it didn't seem like much, but it grows on you, you know? We always find our way back here. I'm gonna miss it."

Today, though was not quiet.

Road work starting here, at The Pit Stop … Quartzsite-AZ

This is very noisy - but, it is also very needed; the road has been trash for the past 2 years we've been coming here. We are glad to see the road being torn out and resurfaced 👏

Knitted half-socks to keep the plastic thong straps off my skin - I'm dealing with the gritty desert sand inflammations, I really do not need the extra angry red rash from plastic allergic reactions.

THONG 3 x 2 RIB HALF-SOCKS PATTERN & MOD CROCHET TOE POST COVER PATTERN

Finished Sets; I make several in pastel colors to match my clothing ;-)

We live on the road, with a good part of the year in the Arizona desert; desert mornings can have a bit of a chilly nip to them before the sun fully wakes up to bathe desert dwellers in it's warmth.

I originally made a pair of these little light-weight flip-flop socks to stave off the early morning chill - but, now my weird body is ramping up it's allergic reactions, and I can't have the rubber thong straps touch my skin without breaking out in a rash. What the heck!

This public domain pattern is worked in the round using double-point needles - so I am also posting a YouTube video with this pattern, that will help beginners understand how knitting on double-point needles works … I changed the pattern up a bit, and used a small size circular needle for the lower half of the sock, before employing the double-point needles: MPO is that this method works up easier, and quicker.

Materials:

Light weight Sports yarn in color of choice

Size #2 double-point knitting needles, 4 count

Size #2 small circular needle

small stitch holder or large safety pin

Scissors

scrap yarn of same weight

Terms Used:

CO = cast on

k = knit

p = purl

BO = bind off

Pattern: This pattern is worked in a continuous round on all four needles.

With double-point needles, CO 60 sts - divide sts evenly among 3 needles, & with 4th needle, begin to work a rib pattern of *k 3, p 2* for three inches.

##If using a circular needle, CO all sts onto the needle, in a continuous line.

CO on a straight needle, slips sts to a circular needle.

Begin work in rounds: if using 4 ct. double-point needles, refer to video, and continue knitting each row, following rib pattern directions … if using a small circular needle, join and continue knitting each row, following rib pattern directions.

Big toe division: Run a piece of scrap yarn through the last 20 sts to mark division (or slip sts on a small st holder); and continue rib pattern around the remaining 40 sts, for five rows. BO loosely by alternating knit and purl sts.

Slip toe division sts onto a small st holder (or large safety pin).

Knit rib pattern in a circular round for 5 rows.

BO foot section.

Big toe opening: Slide the sts kept on the stich holder, onto 3 double-point needles (evenly divide sts among needles) and using the 4th needle, knit them for five rows, using the same BO technique above.

In rib pattern, work sts off st holder and onto double-pointed needles; evenly for knitting ease.

Work pattern in rounds, for 5 rows.

BO big toe section.

Weave in loose ends and finish up …

Ready for wear; enjoy!

These quick and easy crochet thong post covers, will help ease - and even evade the pain of those blisters caused by toe friction against rubber thong posts.

There is no pattern; I just got busy one day in 2017 whipping up this easy peasy post cover to make wearing my feet thongs more comfortable on hot summer days … now, it's the first thing I do with every new pair of thongs, before sliding my feet into them ;-)

Tulsi Gabbard confirmed as Trump's Director of National Intelligence; Feb. 12, 2025

Washington — The Senate voted to confirm Tulsi Gabbard as the director of national intelligence Wednesday, ending weeks of skepticism surrounding her once-embattled confirmation and installing her as the leader of the U.S. intelligence community. 

In a 52 to 48 vote, the Senate confirmed Gabbard's nomination, with one Republican — Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky — joining Democrats in opposing her. McConnell said that Gabbard "failed to demonstrate" that she was prepared for the role.

Gabbard was sworn in to the role during a ceremony at the White House later in the day, where President Trump said "there's nobody like her for this job." Gabbard said she looks forward to "being able to help fulfill that mandate that the American people delivered to you very clearly in this election, to refocus our intelligence community by empowering the great patriots who have chosen to serve our country."

GOOGLE CALENDAR REMOVES OBAMANITE INCLUSIONS & ADDS PRESIDENT TRUMP RENAMES~2025

America's 'Gulf of America' - THANKS President Trump~2025

WASHINGTON (TNND) — Google Calendar users have recently noticed default references for a handful of holidays and cultural events are no longer appearing on their desktop or mobile applications.

The update gained online attention after people mentioned upcoming events such as Pride and Black History Month were no longer being listed. But Google says it made the change midway through last year.

The tech giant told The Associated Press in a statement that "Maintaining hundreds of moments manually and consistently globally wasn’t scalable or sustainable."

"So in mid-2024 we returned to showing only public holidays and national observances from timeanddate.com globally, while allowing users to manually add other important moments," the statement continued.

The Verge was one of the first to report on the changes.

Google recently gained attention for its decision to change the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Denali on Google Maps following President Donald Trump's orders to rename the body of water to the Gulf of America and revert the title of America's highest mountain peak to Mt. McKinley.

"We have a longstanding practice of applying name changes when they have been updated in official government sources," Google previously explained. "When that happens, we will update Google Maps in the U.S. quickly to show Mount McKinley and Gulf of America."

Trump officially recognized Feb. 9, 2025, as the first "Gulf of America Day."

LOVE LANGUAGES~The Good Wives Podcast; Quartzsie-AZ

I am SO GLAD I stumbled across this Podcast - it is helping me, in so many ways, to understand my husband.

Holland and I come from very different backgrounds; and both backgrounds are complex ones. Our love languages can (and have been for the first 22 months of marriage) be confusing, misunderstood, disjointed, and mystifying: the fallouts were not dealt with well at all - by either of us. It wasn't until recently … last month, as a matter of fact, that "the lights came on" with both of us.

And these Podcast episodes have been part of those "aha!" moments.

Holland's love language is "doing": he cooks to show his affection; he gifts people to show his appreciation; he does impromptu surprises to love on people. These things made me uncomfortable because they stirred up trigger moments in my personal life - my family was very dysfunctional in their marriages; my mother and sister, & Bob's brother and sisters, had very bad marriages where domestic violence was an every weekend occurrence … "dates" at fancy restaurants where dim lighting was used, hid blackened eyes; gifting was always a follow-up to a beating up; and surprise vacations were used to overlook adulteries.

Holland's love language - though vastly different from afore mentioned occurrence in my past life, made me uncomfortable. Now, I am used to them. I know he will never misuse my body. He will never cheat on me. He does, however, have past trauma's of his own he is working through - and we will get through that tangled mess, together.

My love language too, is doing - but in a "touchy-feely" way: a touch in passing, an impromptu kiss, an exuberant hug (as well as my wifey duties, which I happily do: laundry, dishes, shared cooking, & various house frau things) … because of his dysfunctional, and twisted view of marriage; these things made him uncomfortable; and his immediate and twitchy rebuffing, made me testy. Now, he is used to what he refers to as "you're a female; you're emotional" actions are welcomed, and he's becoming comfortable with touches, kisses, hugs, and the various haus frau things - that do not come with strings attached: I do them simply because I love and appreciate his presence in my life.

And, I - who was very much an "I don't trust anyone except Elohim and myself", "I can do it myself", and perceiving back pocket {impromptu} gifts as "ownership brands" … am learning to relax and bask in Holland's love & loving administrations/ and likewise, for him, too - for the same reasons. Because there are no hidden agendas, or strings attached, we are enjoying mutual pampering spoiling; it is good to be appreciated simply for being alive 😉 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

PAY ATTENTION IN THE MOMENT; Quartzsite-AZ

I've been very vocal about my support for President Trump - that excites people in different ways: (1) those who hate Trump get animated with a deeper level of Trump Derangement Syndrome - there is no cure for them; those energy sucking vampires have sold their souls to barak hussein, obama and will preach his demented agenda until they finally fall into the casket they drag behind them (2) those who unquestionably support Trump - mostly because they justifiably hate the demonrats and what the obama party embraces.

However …

I don't belong to any political party, and I am not a card-carrying Trump Supporter.

Yes, I do support President Donald J. Trump.

I support him because he is the man of the hour - the man Elohim has chosen and seated to try to turn America, and Americans, around before the proverbial ship sinks.

I like what Trump is doing to right the wrongs in DC … and across America, for Americans: this is a good thing he is doing.

I like his administration choices - they are good people, to do the jobs they have expertise in, for the jobs they will hold Office for.

BUT

President Trump claims he is a Christian. If that claim is a true one (and right now, in the moment, that is debatable from my end), it is a dangerous thing for his personal space - as well as the Country's welfare, to be surrounding himself and his Administrative offices, with varieties of religions of every known stripe: Solomon also was a wise man, and good for Israel; but, his downfall was catering to his 400 wives' religious leanings: he started his leadership role full of enthusiasm for Elohim's Way, wondrously wise, sought after & looked up to … only to end openly fouling Elohim's space with worldly religions, and full of lamentations as his life became consumed with complex confusions.

One cannot serve Elohim while making space for other worldly gods: a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.

America, after being held hostage under obama's cloak of darkness for a decade & a half, needs stability.

And so … I, like the rest of the world, will be watching to see how President Trump and his Administration, goes forward over the next 4 years.

I am a Christian: some of the political policies that will be made, will undoubtedly be overshadowed by chosen official's religious leanings - that is naturally how people make decisions. Admittedly, the people Trump has chosen to head up his Administration are good people … but, good people are not necessarily righteous people. Still, I am reminded that it is ultimately Elohim that places people in positions of power, for His purposes. And, so I support President Trump. I support him because he is the man of the hour; the man chosen for this moment in American History.

And I support anyone who has America's best interests at heart. I support anyone who stands for freedom. I support anyone who stands with Israel, and Christians.

The demonrat obamanites have barak hussein obama as their man-god, their messiah - and he has never denounced that crowning, nor has he repudiated the title.

The conservative repubs have their own {saviors}: I am not a conservative. I am not a political lemming of any political leaning.

I am a Christian.

I am an American.

I am a woman who recognizes that President Donald J. Trump is merely a man - granted, the Man of the Hour.

He is a man good for America; in this, her hour of great need.

Good does not necessarily equate with saved, or Christian.

Romans 12:21 ~ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 ~ But test everything; hold fast what is good.

Micah 6:8 ~ He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

I can only hope and pray that false prophets will not undermine the foundation being laid.
