Watching this vid reminds me so much of the interactions with Holland and I when he's on a roll 🙄
Our verbal interactions usually will sound like the circular argument between Wilkerson (me) & Wise, and Hefner (Holland) 😤
He's getting better at engaging in convo's without antagonism - but the reactions to David Wilkerson's questions sounds very much like how my husband tries to justify his own - and his family's drug culture/religious activity 🤔
The 2 cannot coexist - Yeshua said, "No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other..." (Matthew 6:24)
I've stated many times that I was raised in a hippie environment.
I've also stated that I became a Christian - on my own, at age 8; my family did not know what to do with me after that. I made them uncomfortable … I wasn't vociferously preachy, but I did hang back from their activities and behaviors. I was different: I made them uncomfortable by not engaging.
Neither was I a perfect Christian: I was not spirit-filled until I was 21. From that moment forward, I walked a very narrow path.
My husband - the man I married in 1974, was not a Christian at all. He had some church related connections in his youth, because his grandmother took him to a few services. But he didn't get saved, water baptized, or spirit-filled until 1981; for him, it seemed to happen simultaneously. He is in Heaven now, with Yeshua, since December 14th, 2018.
My new husband, Holland, was raised in a religious environment - but it is a religious environment that does not have Yeshua at it's core. He knows about Him … but, he doesn't know Him. Holland's father and mother both went to a Bible College. His father was a preacher that hobnobbed with, and preached in the churches of John Hagee & John Osteen. His mother was an evangelist. Holland's father eventually abandoned his wife and children, to marry another woman: not a Christian behavior. His mother also remarried, and allowed her children to run wild, and engage in questionable activities without restraint … and too often with her acceptance and approval: not a Christian behavior. Holland was raised in a religious environment - not a Christian environment.
This lopsided {understanding} of Christianity runs through both sides of his family tree - but the redmill branch is by far the worst because they have brewed so long in the hippy-dippy religiosity that they have poison leaves sprouting from the familial limbs. No one from that familial gene pool should be preaching! I've heard his Uncle Bob preaching, and it's clear the man has no Biblical understanding or spiritual discernment. They all shun baptism by the Holy Spirit - which Yeshua clearly taught is a necessity for Christian maturity and actual ministry. The ministry is not for fame and fortune … the ministry is to spread the Gospel: the Word of God is not for sale! One cannot live a life of debauchery and every form of vice, and still consider themselves an ambassador for Christ!
I was raised a hippie, in a hippie environment. I came of age during the Jesus People Era. I read my 'One Way' Jesus People Bible for decades. But, I was never immersed into the lifestyle; that was my saving grace. MPO
I have asked Yeshua to help me understand my new husband and his family's wacky religious mindsets; and He is bringing to my attention these old Jesus People videos, to show me why Holland and I have such a gap between our understandings of Christianity.
I walk a very narrow, black & white path.
Holland, not so much. He doesn't share his faith, with family or friends. He walks a wide and rocky path. He needs the Ruach HaKo'desh reigning in - in Elohim's timing.
I just have to trust and obey; and know that it will happen.
MPO is that the Jesus People Era was the last Revival on Earth: the awareness of Yeshua and the need for His salvation was everywhere, as the Ruach HaKo'desh began His work in lives.
And, of course apostasy followed quickly: Lucifer knows his time is short - so he wasted no time in stirring up wickedness with the counterfeit toronto awakening, that plunged religious wishy-washy people into darkness and self-delusion. Salvation was replaced with self help. The Word preaching was replaced with new age guru's sporting dreadlocks and goatees, that shouted, "You don't need to bring your Bibles with you - just listen to me!" Religious entertainment was booked that mocked Elohim's Holy Spirit with "a blue smurf". Spiritual prosperity was equated with faux gems and white feathers falling from mega church ceilings. Worshipful hymns were replaced with self-promoting concert-style atmospheres. Christian morals were replaced with pride banner swathed gatherings, and social accepted homosexual leadership in corrupt churches.

I, like other spiritually aware Christians care deeply about the lost, who are not aware that they are lost. But, my husband, right now, is my main concern during these Days. Ministry begins in the Home.
