Teri was a great character actress - everything she did had the Midas touch.
As well as comedy, she did several serious movies - such as the movie in which she was an enlisted woman, captured in Asia for several years and held prisoner; when she was rescued she came back stateside with a son … her husband could never accept. It was an engaging storyline. I can't recall the name of the movie.
I loved her in Close Encounters, Young Frankenstein (the entire cast was top-notch & wonderful), Waiting for the Light, Full Moon In Blue Water, Pack Of Lies (based on a true story about a spy among neighbors); just to name a few.
I missed her when she pulled back from making movies after her medical diagnosis with MS.
She entertained us, and at times, caused us to think about weightier issues. She will be missed.
R.I.P. Teri.
