Luke 24: Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women returned to the sepulchre, bring with them the prepared spices and ointments; and certain others with them. And they found the stone was rolled away from the tomb's entrance: they entered in, and found not the body of Adonai Yeshua. As they stood and looked around, filled with much anxious confusion … suddenly two men stood with them, wearing shining garments; as as they were afraid, & bowed down their faces to the earth, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen: remember how he spoke to you in Galilee, saying, the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, & be crucified, & on the third day rise again."
Then they recalled those words Yeshua had spoken to them - and went from the sepulchre to tell all the things they had seen, unto the 11, and to all the rest.
It was Mary Magdalene (who Yeshua had healed from sinful moral corruption; she, who washed his feet with her tears & anointed His head with perfumed oil), & Joanna (wife of one of Herod's superintendent to the royal palace; she had been healed & became a devout follower of Yeshua, often joining Him & His followers when they were in Jerusalem), & Mary the mother of James (this James was not Yeshua's earth half-sibling & this Mary, is not His earth mother: this James is one of the 11, and this Mary is the woman who had provided shelter & food for Yeshua's ministry when He was in Galilee) and the other women that were with them; which told these things unto the apostles. But their words seemed to fantastical to believe: so the men did not believe what they were told.
The Peter stood, and ran to the sepulchre; and saw for himself the empty linen that he, himself, had helped shroud Yeshua's body - and he returned to the others, astonished & wondering at that which had happened.
As the apostles, and the others were wondering … there were 2 of them walking the same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about 6.89 miles. And they were discussing together all of the things that had happened - as they were talking & trying to reason, Yeshua Himself began to walk with them: and they did not recognize Him. He said to them, "What is this thing that you are discussing together so sadly while you walk together?" And the one of them named Cleopas, answered Him, saying, "Are you a stranger in Jerusalem, that you do not know what has happened these past few days?" And Yeshua pressed further, asking, "What things?" And they said to Him, "Concerning Yeshua of Nazareth - who was a great prophet, mighty in deed & word before Elohim, and all the people; and now the chief priests & our rulers delivered Him to be judged & put to death. But we trusted that it had been He who would have delivered Israel: and beside all this, today is the 3rd Day since these things were done. Yes - and certain women, also of our personage; who were early this morning at the sepulchre: brought us startling news that when they arrived there, the body of Yeshua was gone, and they told us also that they had seen a vision of angels, which had told them that he was alive. So, certain of the men that had listened, went up to the sepulchre themselves, and found it even as they had heard: but Him, they did not see."
Then Yeshua said to them, "O, you foolish & doubting people - do you not know, and do you not believe all that the prophets of old have spoken: ought not messiah to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory?" And beginning at Moses & all the prophets following, He instructed to them all the scriptures & things concerning Himself. And as they walked and talked, and came closer to the village, which was their final destination: Yeshua would have gone further ahead, but they were unwilling to end the companionship and invited Him to stay with them a while longer, saying, "Please, stay here with us; evening is upon us.": And He went in to stay with them a bit longer. And as they sat down to meat sup, and He broke bread & blessed it, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they at once knew Him to be Who He is; and He vanished out of their sight. They turned to one another saying, "How could we not know? Did not our hearts quicken while He talked with us as we walked - and when He taught us the scriptures? Then they rose quickly, and returned back to Jerusalem, and found the 11 gathered together; and them that were with them: saying, "The Lord is risen indeed & appeared to us." And they told what things were done on their walk to Emmaus, and how he was made known to them in breaking of bread. And suddenly, as they were speaking, Yeshua Himself stood with them, and said to them, "Shalom, peace be on you." But they were frightened, supposing they were seeing a spirit.
Yeshua said to them, "Why are your hearts troubled? Behold My hands & My feet - that it is I, Myself: touch my body, and see; for a spirit is not flesh and bone - as you will know that I have." As He spoke, he showed them His hands & His feet. And while they still doubted, and wondered, He said to them, "Have you here any meat?" And they gave Him a piece of broiled fish, and bit of honeycomb: He took it, and did eat. Then He said to them, "These are the words which I spoke to you while I was with you - that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Mises, and in the prophets , and in the psalms, concerning Me." Then He taught them, that they might understand the scriptures; saying to them, "It is written - and understood even by Himself: that Messiah must suffer, and to rise again from the dead on the 3rd Day. And that repentance & forgiveness of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witness of these things. See now, I will send the promise of My Father upon you: but you must wait in the city of Jerusalem, until you are strengthened with power from on High." Then He led them out as far as Bethany, & He lifted up His hands and blessed them.
And it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was lifted up from their presence and carried up into Heaven. And they worshipped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and they were continually in the Temple, praising & blessing Elohim. Amen = truly.
