Tomorrow is the Day most churches celebrate Yeshua's Resurrection - at least, they may give lip service to it. My own husband was raised in a church environment … and does not grasp the significance of what tomorrow actually means.
Tomorrow is not about bunnies, pastel colored eggs, ham suppers - or the pagan fertility goddess Demeter.
Tomorrow is about Yeshua - The Creator, The Son, The Messiah, The Life-Giver, The Death Destroyer - that is to mean the restorer of eternal life when this physical body, as we know it, ceases to function: He will raise it again, unto glory - as He was glorified.
I know this to be true: my first husband Bob, was dead for 25 minutes, and was divinely resurrected back to life in front of witnesses in 1981, while being prepared to be taken to the morgue (2 ambulance crews on site, as well as personal friends of ours who were there when the whole thing went down). I still hear about that night, when I cross paths with those friends. Bob never stopped talking about his death and life experience - he even told his testimony to his medical teams at both, the local hospital & the hospital across the river, where he eventually breathed his last breath this side of Heaven, at 69 years (Elohim favored us both with that extra 37 years). Bob never feared physical death; I was never afraid to let him go: we both knew where he was going. And I expect, someday, to see him there when I arrive.
GREAT IS THE LORD!
And greatly to be praised!!
Matthew 27:51-60: In the very moment that Yeshua's body died, the veil of the Temple was ripped from top to bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks blew apart; and graves were opened … and many of of the dead saints came alive & out of the graves; going into the city & appearing to many, there: (fulfilling the prophesies foretold in the ancient psalms concerning those who trusted in Elohim unto sanctification, and believed they would see the Messiah in person: Psalm 16:10: "You will not leave my soul in Sheol [where both the righteous and the wicked, waited for the eternal judgement of the Messiah = Yeshua], nor let your Holy One {direct reference to the Messiah = Yeshua} see decay" & Psalm 30:3: "You will not leave my soul in hell, nor let your Holy One see decay").
When the centurion - and those that were with him, watching Yeshua; saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they were filled with fear saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
There were also a number of women at the crucifixion's site: among them the woman Mary (who had miraculously birthed Him), Mary Magdalene (who had been delivered of seven demons & moral decay: she it was that washed Yeshua's feet with her tears as He sat at Simon's banquet table), & Mary, the mother of the mother of Zebedee's children, James & Joses = John, who were dearly loved disciples of Yeshua (the woman who joined in His tours in the Galilee, and provided finances & nutrition for Him & His disciples).
At sunset, a rich man named Joseph of Arimathea (of the Sanhedrin council & a secret disciple of Yeshua), went to Pilate, and begged for the body of Yeshua; to honor Him with a dignified burial. And Pilate commanded the body delivered as requested. When Joseph had possession of the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of rock: and he rolled a great stone to cover the opening of the tomb; and departed.
