SHABBAT PEACE; Coalinga-CA

It's surprising that this is the last day of January 😳🗓️, already - it honestly feels like it has only just begun; and already it is over. Or, perhaps, it is that I am really just procrastinating against going back up north, again 😑 At any rate, the month is officially over when today wraps up, and we will be heading to the PNW then end of February 😒

Being that this is the weekend … in this house, the world's craziness' 🌎 😈😵‍💫 has been shelved ❌ for at least 24 hours ⏰; and I am taking things easy & slow 🐌; I did a few quick flexibility 🧘🏽 exercises to the backbeat of soft snoring from the upstairs bedroom 🎵💤🛌, while enjoying a cup of morning joy-juice ☕️ downstairs.

Slowly stretching my way through these quick exercises is a gentle reminder that a little goes a long way 😉

Standing Reach-Up Back Rotation Stretch; 3 rep EA side x2

Standing Reach-Up Back Rotation Stretch: You can use this exercise to stretch more than one muscle group. Especially while stretching the back muscles, your chest, shoulder and triceps muscles will also gain flexibility.

Though this is a beginner exercise routine, it is also good for a quick low-impact workout to help build strength. These simple moves target important muscles that improve balance, support standing and walking endurance - improving your overall strength and confidence in doing everyday activities & daily tasks.

Standing Toe Touch; 10-12 reps x2~ 2-3 days a week.

Standing & Bending Forward Toe Touch Stretch:  it is generally safe for a 69-y.o. woman to perform for maintaining flexibility and supporting mobility. It is important to start with a manageable number of reps and gradually increase as comfort allows. Always listen to your body and adjust the number of reps and sets as needed to avoid strain or discomfort.

The stretch exercises below are easy to do, and require nothing more than a self-disciplined want for a better life, and a kitchen counter - shown in the video and described below video:

3 Balance Exercises You Can Do At Your Kitchen Counter: (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/wK5Kht3IpdE)

The Standing Alternating Supermans strengthen your core and back - Repeat for 10-12 reps on EA side. Move slowly and with control. Don’t rush and focus on stability and form over speed. Tip: You might wobble a little at first. That’s normal. Your balance will improve with practice as your core gets stronger.

The Standing Bird Dog Crunches help improve core stability, balance, and posture, and may contribute to reduced recurrence of lower back pain. Do 8-12 reps x2

The Standing Heel Raises support your calves, helping you walk with more stamina. Heel raises are easy to do even for those of you with hip or knee issues. And they take relatively little energy and time to do. The simple heel raise exercise will give you what you need to stay agile and mobile, so you can enjoy smooth movement as you move forward in Life. 8-15 reps x2.

The sun spread it's warm & golden rays over our small corner of the world, and happy birdsong filled the early morning atmosphere: the Day started with good vibes 🌞🐦👍

I made another cup of Hazelnut flavored coffee, munched on a few tiny chocolate cookies - and giving praise to Elohim 🙏 that I do not have to look at a fly frenzy (it's nearly non-existent now, thank the Lord) while I started working on rows of my current WIP:

Morning activities; vintage 'Lost Horizon' movie.

There are some restoration glitches in this vintage movie, but it really is the best version ~ the original filming, as well as the original message - which were both lost when the 1973 remake musical version was promoted.

Shangri-La is a personal concept - both a mysterious myth & an individual aim. My husband's idea of Shangri-La, is Kelso-WA … mine, is Texas - and I've been trying to get there since 2010. There are several States & certain health issues that hamper that goal: whether the gulf can be spanned, is yet to be determined 🤔 But I am prayerfully 🙏 hopeful 🤞
