I’ve always been a gypsy at heart: and my first husband was good about getting me out of the house (and sometimes out of the County or State, too, on occasion) - but a gypsy lifestyle was not something he wanted on a steady basis. So, 6 years ago, when I was forced into a solo lobo life … I started dreaming again. One of the things I wanted to expand on, was travel – I’d wanted to go to new places; places I’ve never been to with Bob. Places that will create new memories.
I had no idea what was waiting for me in my new life unfolding!

No more boredom.
No more aimless activity.
No {platonic} relationship, either - and surprisingly, my heart was ready, and my feels were okay with that. Elohim was working a new thing in my life ;-)

We're a good match - Elohim did right by us in pairing us together … even if, at times, we did not pull together in tandem. The past 2 years have been a wild bucking bronc ride while we tried to find middle ground - and follow the Destiny Path Elohim has laid for us:

But no matter what we were going through, Holland has been very good at giving me the gypsy life I've always dreamed about … and he is the best traveling companion 😉
States we've visited the past 21 months as Road Gypsies together.
As of now - while typing this post, both sets of spurs have been shelved, and the yoke fits much better now.
And after much consideration and discussion, we are looking for a place to comfortably nest between exploratory road gypsy adventures.
Holland - after early retirement, and before he met & merged his life with mine got used to being settled. He got used to having roots; and even though those roots have been seriously uprooted while he's been ferrying me from Coast to Coast thee past 21 months: he'd like to find someplace we can park Independence and nest for a while: and I'm in agreement because the wear on Independence to be continuously hauled from pillar to post carries a hefty repair ticket.
I'm also wise enough to understand that even gypsies need to hole up somewhere, at some point 😉
Holland is scouting out places to set Independence down, while still planning occasional exploratory & adventurous road gypsy trips, where we'll head off into the horizons in Betsy - or possible train trips. I've never been on a train before; Holland has, and he liked it.
A nesting Independence will become our homing roost 😊
I’ll also be asking Elohim to open up some local friendships that are more than a passing nod now and then: Holland & I are both missing the weekly coffee time we shared 2 years ago with a gathering of friends – old and new – that enjoyed spending time together. Building community is a fun necessity; even for gypsies.
So, that's what we're looking into as 2025 unfolds.
We’ll be centered – moving forward, we want to be in the center of Elohei’s Will: that is where the blessings are: that is what we want.
Speaking of useful days … I bought some cotton yarn the other day and started a new design last night:
