DONALDBURGER & Granny's Teeth; Ocean Park-WA

We've been here, in Ocean Park-WA, since April: every time we drive past Doc's … [The Donaldburger] beckons; I didn't know if patriotism was running high … or if the burgers were extra "man-sized" thick. I was curious 🤔

So, today, we stopped in and found out.

I was hoping my husband would be sinking his teeth into a big, fat, juicy, man-sized patty:

The interior was clean & well lighted. There are several pool tables inside; very roomy interior.

THE HAMBURGER WAS AWFUL! 😒🤦🏻‍♀️

It was basically a spin-off of a mcdonald's burger; made in a countertop oven 😳

The patty was of the mcdonald's cardboard-"burger" variety, and the whole thing was so sloppy the bun fell apart under the "juicy" attack; while the hamburger slid all over the place. Eating it was tricky - Holland gave up after 3 biting attempts: my chasing the patty lasted a little longer, but eventually I gave up, too. I don't like mcdonald's food - and this was even worse 😑

We trashed the mess and decided to drive into Long Beach, to The Corral, for a takeout meal - we know the food there is worth the $$, and will be satisfying 😊👌

We drove to The Corral & got Prawn Baskets for Supper.

Today is Gorgeous Grandma Day, and even though I didn't hear a single word, get a text or a call, from any of my grandchildren … my husband showered me with attention, love, and genuine affection 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

Later, I went online to check my PM's, and saw that the zuckerberg's internet sharks 🤪 were trying to sink their teeth into my private posts.

A.g.a.i.n.: some people just never learn 🙄

FB's "Supreme Court" European Tribunal, tried to cow me with UN tactics …

I fired off a rebuttal - a 3rd world country does NOT run me = they do not run American freedoms.

So, this gorgeous granny had to bite back - with a hard rebuke and an insistent, "There's nothing false about my Post; remove the flag and put it back the way you found it" 😤

No one is going to slip a choke collar on me 😡

No one is going to force me to "obey!" their 1-sided demands.

I got an immediate response …

Don't mess with Granny; she'll show her teeth, and land one across your chops.

This "gorgeous granny" (today is International Gorgeous Granny Day) has teeth rooted in her gums … and isn't afraid to use them 😉

People - especially uninvited strangers - stalking my personal spaces & trolling my private posts, deserve what they find; & what they stir up.

Last night I went to bed sneezing, with a runny nose.

This morning I woke up sneezing, with a runny nose.

I had a dentist appointment scheduled for 3:30 this afternoon … sneezing, with a runny nose is not a good thing to be experiencing on any day: especially on dentist day 😒

So, I put out an S,O,S, post to my praying friends on FB:

We drank our morning coffees; and waited the countdown to appointment arrival. While we waited, I did some internet scrolling.

I first heard Black Sabbath tunes at my friend Kay Wirkkala Holland's house, when we were teens. I believe the vinyl LP belonged to her older sister, Vicky. I was hooked 👍

Poor Bob, my 1st husband. Every morning while making his lunch for work, I would slip Black Sabbath on, on my stereo system at full blast to wake me up to function: I was a new 17-year old Bride, who was waking up to make a 3 AM work lunch … and wake fully up before school started; my husband insisted I graduate 🤨 That was the deal he made with my stepfather before we married.

Black Sabbath at 3 AM didn't last long: Bob hated it. He never "came around" to appreciate heavy metal 😉

But, periodically, I still like to crank it up when it comes over the airwaves. And my new husband, Holland … who actually listens to some heavy metal bands … doesn't appreciate the great OZ, either: I really do not understand the men in my life, who do not appreciate what I find interesting 😂🤣

R.I.P. OZ - you really did put out some good tunes to ease the crazy train ride of Life. Your theme-centered music paved the way for lesser bands, with nonessential messages.

Iron Man is my all time favorite … and my ears can recognize it on the wind from blocks away. Then Paranoid & War Pigs.

As the scheduled appointment time drew nearer, we both shut down our laptops and climbed onto Betsy's cab. Holland said, "I'll find some Black Sabbath tunes for you", and started searching his phone for playlists that feature old-school music. Holland can't stand OZ. I appreciated his offer, but I stayed his roaming fingers, "It's okay Babe. If I want to listen to some older stuff, I'll do it later on tonight - I appreciate the offer, but you don't have to torture yourself on my behalf."

And we were off, with a visible sigh of relief 😉

Holland had earlier been notified that a package was waiting for us at the Park Office, so we stopped by there first, to retrieve it: it was the heater Holland recently ordered - and he was happy it arrived so soon.

Holland waited for me in the Willapa Dental parking lot, making phone calls and listening to his music while my back tooth was tended to.

The staff was friendly. The dentist was personable, attentive, worked with me, informed me of procedures the entire time … and had gentle hands that fits comfortably in my mouth, so I didn't have to unhinge my jaw for his working ease. When he commented, "You have a little mouth", I almost laughed out loud - thinking, "my husband would not agree with you" 😂🤣

If I need dental work again, it is good to know there is a good dentist closer than 2 hours away.

When we got back home, the gray skies had been replaced with a cloudless blue expanse: it was a welcome change.

Holland got the heater put together; and ate a couple fried bacon sandwiches.

I prepared my usual protein drink & ramen supper fare … and also did a couple muscle toning exercises:

Daily Meal until Wednesday evening, a protein drink … halved with water, between 2 bottles; & Ramen Noodles with veggies.

Tonight, with the radiator heater set up and quietly humming, the back end of the house will be as warm and comfortable as the living quarters 👍

The 'For you, Baby' radiator heater arrived this afternoon.

I appreciate the extra things my husband does to make my life comfortable - he is a good man. And someday, he'll stop working so hard to be a macho man with an attitude ❤️

YELLOWSTONE ERUPTION HYSTERIA~2025

Every couple of years the hysteria is fed to the hungry: usually put out by a democrat fearmonger, following the election of a Republican President.

Recently there have appeared on FB, and other media sources, reels people have made stating that Yellowstone caldera is on the verge of erupting.

FALSE!!!

Yellowstone is nowhere near eruption stage … and those reels are flat out lies: thirst traps for those who want to be whipped into a frenzy.

Animals are NOT "fleeing!" Yellowstone - in FACT, when WE WERE THERE last year, we didn't see more than 1 injured buffalo bull -up-close-and-personal; & 1 lone elk waaaay off in the distance. A woman was attacked by a bear in the campground several miles from where we hunkered down, but that was no doubt due to trash left out in the open - or her food cache not properly stored as posted inside the Yellowstone area. There ARE VERY FEW ANIMALS IN Yellowstone due to a fire that raced through the region a few years back.

While it is TRUE that earthquakes are picking up in Yellowstone caldera, there is NO IMMEDIATE concern: earthquakes are always present in active volcanic regions - Yellowstone is no different.

The Yellowstone Caldera is a 30x45 mile (50x70 km) depression which was formed by a cataclysmic eruption some 640,000 years ago.

The current hysteria was fueled by this: {{By using machine learning techniques, Dr Li and his co-authors were able to comb through years of past seismic recordings to look for previously undetected tremors. This revealed that tens of thousands of earthquake swarms had been missed by earlier manual inspections.}}

In some cases, this can be caused by molten magma moving upwards through the mantle and crust, building up pressure which can hint at an upcoming eruption.

However, volcano experts say this is likely not the case in the Yellowstone Caldera.

Tomorrow, I have a dentist appointment, and Wednesday, we'll be driving to Longview-WA. But, until Wednesday I'll be sticking to my fat loss goal 🙏, and living lean 😉

It's recommended that seniors (when able) engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise = 20 minutes daily or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise each week = 11 minutes daily. Broken down like this, makes sticking to exercise goals much easier 👍

Low impact exercise will fall into the moderate range if you can raise your heart rate enough so that you can talk but not sing.

Sometimes low impact exercise can become vigorous. That means you can say a few words but you are not able to hold a conversation.

1 bottle of protein Drink halved with water, daily; divided between 2 bottles.

I made my ramen noodles today with the seasoning packet, 2 tsp. of Garlic Honey, & a dash of Chinese 5-Spice that I made - while Holland watched me, and said, "It smells like licorice": and it does smell like black licorice 😉

I have an old coffee bean grinder that I saved specifically for grinding spices to make spice blends. My spice collection is the one thing I stood fast and firm on when Holland was insisting on severe cutbacks at the start of our Road Gypsy Journey, 2-1/2 years ago. I'm a spicy woman 😂🤣& I cook with spices 😘

Chinese 5-Spice is very pungent, and it is a wonderful treat for your tongue's taste buds. When made with anise seed stars, it is even more so 😊

Homemade Chinese 5-Spice: 6 Allspice berries, whole (because I do not have Anise Seed Stars; whole, or otherwise) * 1-1/2 tsp. Fennel seeds, whole * 1-1/2 tsp. Szechuan Peppercorns, whole * 3/4 tsp. Cloves, whole * 3 TBSP Cinnamon, ground

Place whole spices in a coffee grinder, and grind to a powder.

Store in a spice jar.

We got out of the house and down to the beach, too.

And when we got back to the Park, there was a package waiting at the Office for us; we still have things comings, but today, this faucet was waiting and Holland is excited to get it set in place.

While he inspected it, & made sure all the pieces came with it … I did a couple loads of laundry; and was happy to note that the afghan I made for my big man held to size with no discernable shrinkage: ((THANK YOU, LORD)) 😁

The new kitchen faucet Holland had ordered, 'for you, Baby' ❤️

I washed the extra wide & extra long afghan I made for my bear of a man … and the 'whole thing fit in Independence's washing machine, without a snafu - very minimal shrinkage when dried (not even noticeable) 😊
