IDAHO & UTAH~Pushing On Towards Lower Elevation

August 16th: We were up bright and early to get to St. Anthony-ID for the tire switches.

Pulled out the arsenal again. LOL
Ready to roll …
Today's aspirations …
Early bird breakfast.

A tire malfunction was the issue: we had not run over anything, and the road was not a fiery inferno - we were in no way at fault.

We already knew all this … but it was good to have it confirmed.

After that was done, we headed towards Salt Lake City-UT, listening to one of Holland's favorite bands …

Boston Greatest Hits - The Best Songs Of Boston: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awjBLm41xJI

… and ended up pushing through to Elko-NV; where we pulled up for the night, in a graveled side lot, off a liquor store parking lot.

The ground was level.

The atmosphere was quiet (the store was locked up for the night).

And the price was right ;-)

Spendy day; ALL the tires were replaced with new ones - 5th wheel & 4x.
The attitude this side of the Cascades is waaaay different than we are used to; we LIKE it.
Trailer Brake readjustment - glad that is getting done; this has been a concern to Holland since the May-11-23 Colorado bunny-hopping episode.
Damages Tally; but worth it for peace of mind.
5th wheel tire replacements; all new, all even, all matching; 4x tire replacements; all new, all heftier, all matching.
Quesadillas & Nachos for Lunch; I like this bench design. And, I like bold color - I'm going to this serape blanket pattern into a hospice design.
Inkom-ID from St. Anthony-ID; 1 hr 25 min (100.5 mi) via US-20 W and I-15 S
Idaho afternoon temperature.
Elko-NV is tonight's goal.
Garland-UT evening temperature.
Elko-NV from Garland-UT; 3 hr 40 min (240.8 mi) via UT-30 W and I-80 W
Crusty salt was everywhere along the Salt Lake-UT route; nearing the Nevada border as the sun was sliding over the evening horizon.
Sunset along the border.

How we are living now may not be everyone's cup of tea: but, it works for us :-)
