Today, a Federal Judge allows President Trump a continued deployment of National Guard troops in Los Angeles while a legal challenge to President Trump's order is processed. This means the troops will remain under federal control for now, despite a lower court ruling that the deployment was illegal.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an administration request to pause a lower court order which would have returned control of the National Guard to California's governor, Gavin Newsom.
