First Daughter Ivanka Trump was targeted for assassination by an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) trained terrorist in a twisted plot to avenge the president taking out his mentor, The Post has learned.
Recently captured Mohammad Baqer Saad Dawood Al-Saadi, 32, made a “pledge” to kill Ivanka and even had a blueprint of her Florida home, sources claimed.
The Iraqi national was allegedly targeting President Donald Trump’s family in response to the killing of Iranian military chief Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in Baghdad six years ago.
“After Qasem was killed, he [Al-Saadi] went around telling people ‘we need to kill Ivanka to burn down the house of Trump the way he burned down our house,'” Entifadh Qanbar, a former deputy military attaché in the Iraqi embassy in Washington told The Post.
“We heard that he had a plan of Ivanka’s house in Florida,” Qanbar added. A second source also confirmed Al-Saadi’s plot to kill Ivanka.
Al-Saadi also posted a picture of a map showing the enclave in Florida where Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner have a $24 million home on X, alongside a chilling threat in Arabic which translates to: “I say to the Americans look at this picture and know that neither your palaces nor the Secret Service will protect you. We are currently in the stage of surveillance and analysis. I told you, our revenge is a matter of time.”
Al-Saadi is said to be a high-ranking figure in Iraq-Iran terror circles, arrested in Turkey on May 15 and extradited to the US where he is charged with 18 attacks and attempted attacks throughout Europe and the United States, per the Department of Justice.
He’s been behind attacks on US and Jewish targets including the firebombing of the Bank of New York Mellon in Amsterdam in March, the stabbing of two Jewish victims in London in April and a shooting at the US consulate building in Toronto, also in March, according to the DoJ.
He also “planned, coordinated” and allegedly took responsibility for attacks against Jewish people including the bombing of a synagogue in Liège, Belgium, the arson of a temple in Rotterdam in March, according to the feds, as well as various other foiled counter-attacks in the US in response to the current conflict in the Middle East.
Ivanka, 44, converted to Orthodox Judaism in 2009 prior to her marriage to property magnate Kushner. The White House did not respond to The Post’s request for comment on the assassination plot.
Al-Saadi is said to be an operative of both Kata’ib Hizballah and Iran’s IRGC.
“Publicly available information shows that Mohammad Baqer was in contact and a close friend of …Qasem Soleimani and that in and of itself is a huge coup for any operative within the ranks of these militias, and on top of that he was then close to [Esmail] Qaani who replaced Soleimani,” said Elizabeth Tsurkov, a Senior Fellow at the Washington DC-based New Lines Institute who was kidnapped in Bagdad in 2023 and held hostage by Kata’ib Hezbollah for 903 days before her release in September 2025.
She said she did not know if Al-Saadi was one of her kidnappers as she only saw them masked.
Tsurkov told The Post Al-Saadi maintained a close relationship with Soleimani’s replacement, Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, who continued to provide him with resources for his terror networks.
A lawyer for Al-Assadi did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
According to Qanbar, Al-Saadi was close to Soleimani, a major general in the IRGC and head of the elite Quds Force, and looked up to him as a father figure after the death of his own dad, Ahmad Kazemi, an Iranian brigadier general, in 2006.
Al-Saadi grew up in Baghdad, and was largely raised by his Iraqi mother, but was sent to Tehran to train with the IRGC, said Qanbar, now president of Future Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen alliances between the US and Iraqi Kurds.
Al-Saadi later established a travel agency, specializing in religious trips allowing him to travel around the world to “connect with terror cells,” Qanbar alleged to The Post.
When arrested in Turkey last week, Al-Saadi also had an Iraqi service passport, a special travel document issued to government employees and civil servants of that country, which can only be obtained with the consent of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Qanbar told The Post.
The passport allowed him to travel freely, go through minimal or no security checks at Iraqi airports and have access to a VIP airport lounge.
Although passport holders would still be required to go through security screenings elsewhere, Al-Saadi could easily obtain visas to the different countries where he allegedly planned terror attacks, he said. Al-Saadi was in transit to Russia when he was arrested, according to reports.
Surprisingly for an alleged prominent terror figure, Al-Saadi was very visible on social media. Posts show him standing next to tourist attractions including the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur as well as selfies kayaking and posing in front of a missile with his hand over his heart.
The federal indictment against Al-Saadi also includes photos of him consulting with Soleimani, at what appears to be a military facility, poring over maps and other equipment, which he had posted on his Snapchat account, according to the court documents.
In August, 2020, seven months after Soleimani was killed, Al-Saadi posted to his X account an image of Soleimani and another military figure killed in the same US drone strike held by a militant with an AK-47, captioned: “I will leave social media and turn off all my phones until the American enemy is defeated …victory or martyrdom,” according to federal court documents.
However, the social media blackout didn’t last long for the digital blabbermouth. In a 2025 post to his X account, which he described as his “last tweet,” Al-Saadi referred to Soleimani and other Iranian military leaders killed in US strikes as “martyrs.”
“I address you while in great shock and intense weakness, a feeling I have never experience in my life except once, at the martyrdom of …Qasem Soleimani,” he wrote, according to court documents.
Al-Saadi also targeted and threatened potential victims with Snapchat messages and social media posts, in many cases sending them a photograph of a pistol with a silencer, according to messages seen by The Post.
The suspected terrorist, who also allegedly has links to Lebanese paramilitary force Hezbollah, is currently in solitary confinement at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, which houses other high-profile inmates like accused CEO shooter Luigi Mangione and captured Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro.

In May 2026, a claim (archived) circulated online that Maureen Galindo, a Texas Democratic congressional candidate, proposed turning an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center into a "prison for American Zionists" and use it as a "castration processing center" for pedophiles, who she said "will probably be most of the Zionists."
Examples of the rumor spread on X (archived), Instagram (archived), Bluesky (archived) and Reddit (archived). Snopes readers also searched our site for more information about the accusation.
The official campaign account for Galindo, who is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in Texas' newly redrawn 35th district, posted (archived) a carousel of images to Instagram on May 13, 2026, one of which featured text that read:
When Maureen gets into Congress, she'll write legislation so that all Zionism and support of Zionism is undoubtedly Anti-Semitic, since it's Zionists harming the Semites. She'll turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking. (It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles which will probably be most of the Zionists).
Because the post appeared on a profile that represents Galindo and amounted to a campaign pledge in her name, we have rated the claim, that she proposed turning an ICE facility into a prison for "American Zionists" that would double as a "castration processing center," as true.
Galindo has objected to the characterization of the plan as an "internment camp," as one popular X post described it. Over email, she said:
I never said I want Jews in internment camps. I said I want to close all ICE detention centers and put billionaire American Zionists [who fund the genocidal prison systems] involved in trafficking into prison. I also want to start a department to target pedophiles for castration.
She added, "I'm against all internment camps and would like to see them all shutdown ASAP."
Internment camps, unlike prisons, are generally built to house one specific group of people. The Nazi's concentration camps for Jews during World War II were a prominent example of internment camps. Prisons, on the other hand, generally house convicted criminals who have had their case heard in a court of law. Galindo specifically used the term "prison," rather than "internment camp," in her post.
Despite heavy backlash after her May 13 post, Galindo posted an Instagram video (archived) on May 19 elaborating on her plan. She claimed she had received death threats after her initial remarks and repeated, "When I say that I want billionaire Zionists in prison that does not mean I want Jews in internment camps."
Galindo elaborated (time code 00:39):
I don't care what religion you are, if you are a Zionist, meaning that you believe that you are just entitled to land, or someone's just entitled to land based off of religious beliefs, and that you'll kill all of the Semites for it then yes, I think that you're a danger to humanity and belong in prison. Especially if you have the political and economic resources to make that happen and that's how we would — that's how we will get all of the billionaire Zionists in prison is through all of the business.
According to Encyclopedia Britannica, "Semite" is an obsolete term popularized in the 19th century that has historically been used to describe groups of people who speak Semitic languages, such as Arabic and Hebrew, or who were Jewish, regardless of what language they spoke. It is unclear what group of people Galindo had in mind when she used the term.
The American Jewish Committee, an advocacy organization for the civil and religious rights of Jews, defines "Zionist" as "a person who believes in the development and protection of a Jewish nation in its historic homeland of Israel."
Despite Galindo attempting to clarify that, in her opinion, Zionism is not connected to religion, she faced multiple accusations of antisemitism following her remarks.
Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Suzan DelBene, the chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which works to elect Democrats to House seats, said in a joint statement that Galindo's language amounts to "antisemitic comments" that are "vile," "disqualifying" and have "no place in American politics, and certainly not in the Democratic Party."
Jeffries and DelBene accused "MAGA extremists" of attempting to prop up Galindo's campaign and also appeared to encourage Texans not to vote for her.
Reporting by the Texas Tribune and Punchbowl News, a publication that reports on U.S. politics, suggests Lead Left, a political action committee that reportedly spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on advertising for Galindo's campaign, is linked to the Republican funding platform WinRed. Snopes has not independently verified these reports.
Galindo said via email that she had "no clue about the PAC" when asked if she received funding from Lead Left.
Texas Democrats also condemned Galindo's remarks as "antisemitism and hateful rhetoric." James Talarico, the Texas Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate, reportedly told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency he would not campaign alongside Galindo should she win her runoff race and instead endorsed Galindo's party opponent Johnny Garcia, according to CNN.
Galindo led the Democratic primaries in Texas' 35th District, winning 29.2% of the vote, compared to Garcia's 27%.
A runoff election on May 26 will determine whether Galindo or Garcia will represent the Democratic Party in Texas' 35th District in the Nov. 3, 2026, midterm elections.

He told me about watching the ash fallout drop, there 👀 I don't know if he was back here when the river dredging took place … but if he was, he was no doubt watching from the opposite side of the river, on Camelot's shoreline trying to gauge 😒 how long it would be before the fish started running again - and he could get back to fishing 🤨 He tells me he was "a fishing fool" & listening to him talk when we're sitting by any river, I believe it 😂🤣
Holland knows every inch of this river & it's surrounding banks - both sides: he's fished it every way possible. For decades. Before his work-related disability, that keeps him from doing most of what he loved to do. Now, he just watches the river from Betsy's cab … and I watch him struggle to come to terms with how much life changed for him that day he went to work - and left the job site a different man.
