MOD CROCHET TURKEY COFFEE COASTER Pattern: Castle Rock-WA

MOD Crochet Turkey Coffee Coaster; Castle Rock-WA

I get bored easily & I like to keep things switched out ๐Ÿคญ - especially around the whirlwind 'ber holiday season.

Today's switcharoo thingee is a coffee coaster ☕️ for November ๐Ÿฆƒ

I have lots of little left-over-yarn balls of previous projects, and coffee coasters is a fun, colorful, way to whittle them down a bit ๐Ÿ˜‰

This is a large coaster, designed to fit under a coffee mug … and also as a safe-gap for coffee spills (I am a klutz; especially before I am fully awake).

The other day while scrolling through my FB feed, I saw this reel that made me laugh - I do toning exercises … and I also design yarn crafts: it fit. I hope it lightens your morning coffee hour, too:

Wrs & make 11 dc in 1st ch
EO Green & attach Orange. DO NOT TURN

Foundation Pattern: With Orange yarn, draw up a 1" length - then wrs x7 (8 loops on shank) - insert hook into same green st, wrh, pull loop up & draw yarn through all shank loops & ch 1:

Draw yarn through all shank loops

Easy peasy.

A new month.

A new outlook on Life in general.

A Fall vibe blowing through this rural CA community.

Terms used:

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

sp = space

rpt - repeat

sl st = slip stitch

With variegated yarn & crochet hook, ch 2 - then make 6 sc in circle.

Row 2: 2 sc in each st: 12 sc

Row 3: *1 sc first sc, 2 in next sc*: rpt around: 18 sc

Row 4: 1 sc first 2 sc; *2 in next sc, sc in next 2 sc*: rpt around: 24 sc

Row 5: Attach orange yarn, & work 2 sc in same sp; *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 in next sc*: rpt around: 32 sc

Row 6: Attach variegated yarn & sl st in each sc around: 32 sc

Row 7: Attach brown yarn & sl st in each sc around: 32 sc

Row 8: Attach variegated yarn & begin edge trim as follows - *ch 1, sl st in next st*; rpt around, ending with a sl st in first sl st. EO & weave in loose ends.

Enjoying a mug of pumpkin spice coffee ๐ŸŽƒ☕️ resting on my new mug coaster design … & enjoying the view of a pretty sunset here, after a brief rainfall; Coalinga-CA
