October 27th: Fall, in the desert, is a strange affair.
Warming temperatures make night time very nice … but, there is a brief cooling in the morning; so, our little space heater was put to use this morning ;-)

70-degrees can feel like 40-degrees, when you are used to 90- & 100-degree daytime temperatures.
And though there is no discernable change of seasons, here in Arizona … I like the 4-season cycle, so I improvise: improvising this year, is flavored coffee to fit the season: the Pumpkin Spice & Maple Pecan coffees I brought with me from WA State. These flavors are not available here, in the South. Neither are seasonal roasted coffee beans - so, I also brought a couple pounds of coffee beans with me, to be ground up and enjoyed until they run out. And, of course, Holland needs his extra strong coffee blend, too (that, we can get here) :-D
I was drinking - and savoring - my morning coffee; simultaneously watching a couple dozen RV's headed for High Jolly & La Poza free camping grounds jet through the Pit Stop graveled lots, and waiting for my ultra slow internet connection (started with the slo-mo mode, last night) to "get with it": when my eyes lit on two surprising news stories …

That is startling news.
Even the media rats that regularly devour and vomit out the DC swill are turning against the obamanite gin mill steadily cranking out overt racism, financial ruin, insane fantasies out of control, and communist propaganda that embraces all the wickedness the world has to offer.
The rats are fleeing from the obiden madness and deserting obama's sinking ship: no one in their right mind wants what he is peddling - and we are sick and tired of watching islam run rampant roughshod over Americans, and our closest ally, Israel.
GOOD ON THEM! Even if this move is coming solely because their financial empires will topple with the working class if the DC commie regime takes another coup bow; these rags didn't care one iota about rage city burnings; violent {peaceful} islamic protests; rabid blm racist marches, beatings, burnings, thefts; humanity being granted to wild animals; womanhood being systemically erased to make way for the escalation of mental illness; the murder of babies born alive, termed {late term abortions} by the party of murder inc,; and the kangaroo court shamelessness in methodically going after the one man they fear the most - slandering his name, threatening bodily harm to his wife, the death of his son, the ruination of his businesses, and the total destruction of his presence on this planet. The obamanite demonrats are totally unhinged. And YET, the liberal rags did not take a stand until I'm thinking they realized that they are also in the cross hairs of political insanity if harris is seated in another obama coup.

I am an American – my roots are deep in the soil on this continent, in this great Nation.
I love America – it has been a good place to live: I am blessed to have been born here, grew up here, married here, bore a child/raised her here, welcomed grandchildren here; and someday, if the Rapture is further delayed, my cremains will be laid in Eden Valley-WA.

The President of America – whoever that may be – is not my savior; the President is merely a tool used by Elohim as a disciplinary tool for unruly minions bent on a wayward path and unrepentant in ways that only Elohim knows about.
The President is not king; regardless of the republican’s conservative choice to hang onto the political scepter and dwell in The People’s gilded palace … or the demonrat’s chosen naked emperor desiring to be hailed as DC royalty, to hold court, and make mandated decrees heralded by their town criers.
The President is not the world’s savior.

Split Pea Soup w-Veg's
I love split pea soup; I especially like to eat it in the Fall :-)
Holland has never eaten Split Pea Soup.
This is a tried and true recipe that is quick, easy, and delicious.
This soup is made in my little crockpot - and the original recipe is halved for tonight's meal, to suit a couple's needs.
I used a while onion because onions are good for the immune system.
SPLIT PEA SOUP w-VEG'S ~serves 3
4 cups Water * 1-1/4 cup dried Split Peas * 1-lb. COOKED smoked Ham pieces, chunked * 1 Onion, diced * 1 tsp. Salt * 1/4 tsp. grnd. Black Peppercorns * 1 medium carrot, cut into coins (about 1/2 cup) * 1 medium stalk Celery, cut into pieces (about 1/2 cup)
Place all ingredients in crockpot & cook on HIGH until bubbly; then reduce heat to LOW, and cook 6 hours.
