August 3rd: Holland received an emergency call from Mark.

While he talked, trying to get information … I went into action, gathering prayer help.

Then, we jumped into Betsy and made good time getting to the hospital. Things were hung up on that end as there were no parking spaces near the hospital entrance - and the Parking garage was "closed for the weekend". WTH; only in Longview would parking be nonexistent at a medical facility passing for a bona fide hospital 🙄😤

Holland found parking on the main highway that runs past the hospital, and by Elohim's grace ☝️💖✨ was able to walk the 2 miles needed to walk to and fro … and visit Scott's hospital room; without burning pain gripping him in it's cruel vice grip.

We then went over to Scott & Lana's house to stand with the family in hope, and offer what comfort we could 💕🕊️

I don't know Scott's heart situation.

I don't know what Holland was praying towards other than Scott's survival and return to life … but my prayer was that this situation would bring about familial salvations, repentance, and wholesome life going forward. I prayed against addiction, and that if by some miracle Scott pulls through - that the bonds of addiction will be broken and a living testimony will be forged.

I know Yeshua can - and does heal what doctors say is impossible: I know, because my entire Life is a testimony to Elohim's faithfulness ❤️ to beat the odds given from a human standpoint.

August 4th: The camp chairs ordered, arrived this morning:

They seem to be hefty enough to hold our expanded weight ;-)

Calls were incoming and outgoing all day long.

Phone tag with various relatives; updates are sketchy.

The situation with Scott's diagnosis is dire. But Holland is holding on to hope for a full recovery, and holding out for a good report 🙏

I am supporting my husband: I know all things are possible with Elohim, according to His Will.

I've been through this before with my 1st husband, and am trying to gently to prepare my current husband with what a comeback from a 25-minute oxygen deprivation will mean for Scott & his family … but Holland is not wanting to hear that. So, I stand by him, pray with (and for) him, and if Scott rebounds and ends up going home again, I will not kick against remaining in WA to help in any way I can. Holland is my husband: Scott is his brother. Both will need a lot of bolstering.

Lana is not a healthy person; she will need to lean on Holland at times. We need to stick around until things turn around.

Holland will need my emotional and spiritual strength regardless of whatever outcome 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

In the meanwhile, we hope. We pray. We cry out to Yeshua. We get on with living, in our own lane.

One way we enjoyed our own lane this evening, was with a bowl of comfort food 😉

I need to go to go to bed: I'm too wound, but I need to try to force myself to get some sleep.

Tomorrow we drive to Longview - Scott's future will be settled one way or the other, at 9 AM.

Please Elohim, be merciful.

QUIET CHALLENGE & WILDFIRES ALL AROUND US

July 21st: We decided to try to "hit the road" one more time: I hope we can keep traveling, but everything depends on Holland's medical issues - he is retired on disability. He is giving my dream a gung-ho effort, and I love him for it; but our marriage is more important than a trip across America.

Traveling under tension when the pain is overwhelming, is not fun.

Only Elohim knows if the two can be satisfactorily dove-tailed.

We pulled stakes in Castle Rock-WA around 1:30 PM this afternoon, outran wildfire smoke across eastern oregon, and reached Post Falls around midnight. We couldn't find an RV spot, so we hunkered down in a Wal*Mart parking lot overnight.

We were bone tired, and struggling a little bit with the smoky haze - but Elohim was faithful and neither one of us suffered lung distress, though my chest did hurt; but I did not have even a little asthma complication.

Elohim is good :-)

Furbaby is growing up; I found a baby tooth found on the inside steps this morning.

Oh Snap! Sandal blowout around Woodland-WA

Holland nipped into the Gee Greek Rest Area this side of Ridgefield-WA. I changed sandals … and Holland waited out the back-to-back freeway traffic; every truck slot was taken, so we parked here - there was no where else to park.

Busy, busy, busy - and WA wants to make this bridge a Toll Bridge, a.g.a.i.n.!

Holland couldn't stand the quietness; LOL. 3:30 PM

We passed 'Oxbow State Park' in the Oregon Gorge, and got a surprise … we both thought the Oxbow was in Montana (3010 SE Oxbow Pkwy, Gresham, OR 97080).

We saw a huge smoke cloud across the Columbia River, as we drove through Arlington-OR (https://www.cityofarlingtonoregon.com/).

We had debated driving the WA Gorge side, or the OR Gorge side - I'm glad Holland decided to skip the Washington side, watching the BIG smoke cloud. Our lungs could not have handled that.

Holland decided to take Hwy. #730 to cross the River on our way to Montana.

We're going to try to stay ahead of the smoke cloud - but the drift is extensive.

RV Parks couldn't be found along the route, but there were RV Parks e.v.e.r.y.w.h.e.r.e. in Irrigon-OR, and we couldn't stop!

Back in Washington … despite the round-about-2 State Route, this really is the quickest route; with or without the wildfires breaking out.

Aiming for Hwy. #395 … hoping to escape the worst of the drifting smoke cloud.

The smoke odor was very strong - it could be tasted on the tongue. My chest was tightening up as it seeped into the pickup, and I was concerned about Holland's "ify" lungs, too.

Thankfully we are moving further away from the wildfires. The smoke is thinning out some.

Bleu isn't liking the smoky odor-taste, either.

Getting closer to the Pasco-Richland area, the sun was looking pretty normal. The atmosphere is still smoky, but it's a lot clearer than what was behind us.
