As soon as my alarm went off, this morning - I was out of bed (skipped making it, for the moment), quickly dressed & out the door; walking ;-)
There has been so much going on in my personal life, that exercise fell trough the cracks; but, now I'm back on track.
And I'm going to stay on track.
My walking area here is limited, so I have to make several laps around the perimeter to make my daily goal (which is 1 mile/day for starters).
On my second lap, I noticed a little wild rabbit was keeping an eye on my progress ;-)
I paced myself so I didn't run out of steam before finishing my goal: I walked four laps, which ended up being just a little under a full mile. I'm okay with that. I don't want to overdue, right out of the chute.
As it happened, four laps was just right; because as I got inside, I noticed that a sandstorm was kicking up; there had been a little grit in the air I breathed as I walked along (not enough to harm my lungs), but the sand was seriously getting whipped up and tossed into the air, now :-(
As I walked in … Holland walked out, to drive into town for some salad fixings.
As he was leaving, the wind had picked up significantly - and Independence was rocking and rolling: at one point I was wondering if Holland would come back to find the wind had blown Independence off her legoed Jack Blocks.
Things had settled down by the time he got back, thank the Lord :-)
By the time the salad fixings had been refrigerated, and he sat down in his recliner … the mountain range was visible, again:
Plomosa Mountains, Quartzsite-AZ: (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plomosa_Mountains)
These mountains in Arizona, are considered part of the Rocky Mountain Range: though they are designated as the Southern Rocky Mountains at the tail end of the range.
I was thankful the house rocking had ended. I threw some laundry in the washer ... and scouted for a book to read over the weekend. I bypassed the boxed books - and I didn't even thumb through the Cussler novels. I went straight for the one book I knew would fit the month of October.
A cup of hot cocoa is also in tonight's relaxing mood mode ;-)
It's been a good day - and I foresee a good night :-D
