NECESSARY EXPENSES~Self-Care 2026; Castle Rock-WA

While in Rainier yesterday morning, we got the bank appointment squared away - then crossed over the river into Longview to get Betsy's oil and filter switched out, made a short stop at Willow Grove (our 1st '"getting to know you" coffee date, was here) … where we noticed that there is now a newly installed fenced-in dog park, at least 2 acres long & wide: it's huge; then, we took the long way home over Coal Creek Road & Delameter Road, to where we currently have Independence parked, in Castle Rock.

Morning stretches~Aim for 21 reps EA, x3
Willow Grove Day Park; #7325 Willow Grove Road, Longview, WA~Internet Pic
A new Willow Grove welcome sign, was recently  installed on June 3rd.
The River was quiet, so we didn't stay long.
It looks like Loowit (Mt. St. Helens) is huffing & puffing again, but updates say 'normal activity w-minor earthquakes'.

Today, this morning, I enjoyed my morning joy juice - thankful to see this lovely, sunny, Wednesday morning … and trusting big that Yeshua would touch my lungs today in a healing way, so my asthma wouldn't be troublesome in the dentist chair: I had an 11 AM dentist appointment concerning the back crown that broke off at the gumline, Sunday evening.

Sending out an S.O.S. to my praying friends.

I know Elohim has already goes ahead of me - before my Day starts.

I know Yeshua has healing for me.

I am grateful to be alive & I have every confidence that I walk in blessedness.

At Twin City Dental, in Kelso, Dr. Anderson (who has been examining my teeth since at least 2001) examined it & removed it -  it came out hard, but oral surgery was not needed to extract it: cost was $400. A replacement for the extracted tooth was discussed and I opted for a partial implement rather than the implant option. The partial will be for 2 teeth replacements, which will also cover the tooth I had pulled in 2019 before my social Security Benefits were approved (basic Social Security - no frills). I'm happy about that decision - I am not happy with the cost, which will take a significant amount of time to save towards: $1,900.

It will take time, because Holland needs his knee taken care of …

… and that needs to get done first, I am standing firm on that: he needs to be able to enjoy some quality of life with a reduction of his pain level. If this option will not work for him, I don't know what else can be done for him. He was young and foolish, like most young men running on testosterone are prone to be; and between the youthful foolishness, the young adult ego, and the adult to mid-life years of heavy construction work - his poor body took a beating before his brain kicked in and said, "maybe you should rethink that - like, don't". His aging body is now feeling and dealing with the result of those body-beating years. I am praying he can get some relief.

Right now, he's catching up on the sleep he missed last night when my asthma flared up and sent me into a coughing fit that worried him (he never sleeps after an episode). So, when we got back home from the dentist, I said, "My face really hurts & I know I'm going to be a handful to deal with today … why don't you go upstairs and get some sleep. I know you didn't sleep at all last night after that asthma attack." He said, "I think I'll do that. You're right, I didn't sleep - I kept my ears on all night long. I love you & I was worried about you. I waited a long time for you: I don't want you to die on me. I'll make supper too, when I get up - I'm giving you the Day off." Isn't he a sweet guy? I said, "I have no plans to die any time soon. Go get some sleep; I love you, too."

Back home & thankful.

Self-care is a necessity & we are working on it.

MOR VAL'S BEAN & CABBAGE SOUP; Castle Rock-WA

MOR Val's Bean & Cabbage Soup; Castle Rock-WA

We weren't leaving the house, today - so, I pulled a crockpot soup together for supper ⏲️🥣; just whatever sounded good to go with the broth I have saved from Holland's Beef Instapot Supper, last week 🥩🥔🧄

I thawed out the beef broth & added to it - some blended bean mix, some veggies 🥕🍅, a touch of spicy seasoning 🍃, and 2 eggs = no recipe to read from 👩‍🍳 … just grabbing 😉 and using 😊

MOR Val's Bean & Cabbage Soup

4 c. Beef Broth * 1 c. Water * 1 c. Bean Blend, dry - sorted & washed * Garlic, 1 head - peeled * 1 lrg. White Onion, sliced * 3 sm. Celery stalks, sliced * 3 sm. Carrots, sliced * 1 Tomato, cubed * 1/4 head of Cabbage, sliced

8-qt. Slowcooker * 1 Cutting Board * 1 sm. mesh Colander  Strainer * 1 lrg. Kitchen Knife * Measuring Cups & Spoons * 1 lrg. Pyrex Measuring Cup * 1 lrg Slotted Cooking Spoon * Soup Bowls & Silverware

1) Place broth in crock - set temperature and start that thawing.

2) Measure, sort & wash beans; set aside.

3) Prepare veggies; place in crock & season.

4) Place cabbage on top of mixture & lightly push down to make room for the lid to fit comfortably

Pierce the ends of EA egg & nestle in the cabbage bits:

5) Place lid over crock, set temperature, and enjoy the aroma while soup cooks …

Place lid over crock & cook on HIGH for 2 hours; then lower temp to LOW for additional 4 hours.

6) When beans are bite-tender, the soup is ready to eat.

Ladle up - season with pepper, if desired & eat with the egg. Um-um Good 😊

And turning in, I'll be doing a mini workout routine:

Staying faithful & taking things easy asthma-wise~Aim for 15 to 20 reps EA x3

STAYIN' ALIVE~Self-Care; Castle Rock-WA

June 15th: Woke up.

Still kickin'

And I'm not the only one trying to stay alive - visiting my Blog Hop Friends this afternoon, this posting from Colorado, caught my attention:

Workouts were low-key, today: I did some finger & foot stretches.

The fingers are all tendons so training them to be strong and supple requires constant work.

Tendons Worked~Hands

The benefits are fewer injuries, less strain from repetitive work plus supple hands that can be used to do almost anything~Aim for 10 ct. EA set x 3~x3 to x5 = week

There are ten tendon and ligament groups at work in your foot, toes and ankles - and training them allows your body to conserve energy with every step you take, which means that everything is affected from your balance when standing upright, to posture, walking, running and jumping.

Tendons Worked~Feet

Healthy feet not only make us feel better but also help with improved circulation and an improved feeling of relaxation when we force our bodies to work hard, physically. Footwork is one of those workouts you could do when watching TV, & your feet (and the rest of your body) will thank you for it~Aim for 30 ct x10 EA set~x2 to 3 = week

DIY Chef's Salad that came together quickly & was perfect for today's weather.

This small bit of activity, was all the energy I spared today: it was very hot, and my physical battery is running low.

ALCOHOL FREE ANTI-INFLAMMATORY HONEY CONCOCTION; Castle Rock-WA

Alcohol Free Anti-Inflammatory Honey Concoction; Castle Rock-WA

I was up all night long scratching an itch that only got worse with the scratching.

I am allergic to something in the asthma inhalers, and I had used it yesterday: so, while scratching my skin off all of last night, nearly to the point of crying with the frustration - I made up my mind that using the inhaler is not worth the added pain & suffering it brings to my life. That decision kinda freaked Holland out when I said this morning, "I'm allergic to the inhalers & I can't use them anymore. I am going to be 70 in about 6 months, and that means that I'm going to have old people skin pretty soon; it's going to be real delicate & I don't want a staph infection setting in by tearing at my skin with fingernails, trying to satisfy an allergy-related-itch that can't be satisfied: for reasons beyond our understanding, Yeshua designed & crafted my particular body weirdly strange. I'm not like everybody else - staying alive is a real challenge for me, Holland; you need to understand that." He said, "What are you going to do if you go off the inhalers? You need to breathe!"

He's right.

And he's right to be worried - he's seen me have seriously serious asthma attacks; the worst ever, was 2 years ago, in CA:

April 19, 2024~LORD, PLEASE~I Need A Touch; Kingman-AZ to Barstow-CA: (https://roadgypsiesvalandholland.blogspot.com/2024/04/lord-pleasei-need-touch-kingman-az-to.html)

But, when I explained to him that I'm not being risky with my Life, & that there are holistic alternatives … and I had been using them successfully before we were a thing; he settled down.

I prefer to get medicinal help from food sources, rather than the pharmacy; I have always been like this, having grown up in an environment where doctors were not considered earth-bound gods. There are doctors & nurses on both sides of my family tree, but my grandmother Brockway, and my mother used holistic measures for all our ills - the only times I ever went to a doctor before I married my first husband Bob, was to have my left ankle stitched after it was mangled in bicyle spokes, to have my right knee tended to, and stitched closed when I cut it to the bone crawling over a broken beer bottle hidden in the sand dunes, playing a game of cowboys & indians with my siblings; & to have a butterfly bandage applied on a hip gash I got when I slid down an embankment spiked with shards of sharp rock that chewed some skin off & left a minor gash. Colds, flus, bronchitis, and the like - were taken care of by holistic home remedies. They work with my weird body, & that is what I prefer.

I have only been using the inhaler because Holland has been insisting. But, now he knows that they will not work for me - they are toxic to me & my body rejects them. Serious itching means a serious allergic reaction … and if serious enough, will lead to anaphylaxis. I'd rather not be killed by something that is supposed to give me "a quality of life".

I will not be enjoying an earthly life of any quality, if I am killed by something designed for the sole purpose of keeping me alive. The irony is not missed by either of us.

So, I am falling back on what I know works for me & Holland will have to accept that I am not like everyone else; what works for everyone else does not work fo me. My body is hard-wired different.

I got busy making this honey blend that helps reduce inflammation; & can ease asthma symptoms - with no instantaneous speed-like affects, lethargic tail dragging, weight gain, or sore throat - that are "just some of" the other side-effects of pharmaceutical inhalers, besides the intense itching that threatens to drive you insane & invite more complications with a possible staph infection entering through skin compromises; & I also do not want the hazy all-day buzz, that fermented alcohol-based home remedies, can give.

I used a pint jar of raw honey that we had been gifted, from Holland's cousin Bruce, while we were in Coalinga-CA; earlier this year.

Aside from a direct divine healing (which, I do believe in), there is no cure for asthma; but, there are several holistic ways to make the symptoms more manageable for a true [healthy quality of Life].

Alcohol Free Anti-Inflammatory Honey Concoction

2 cups Raw Honey * Red Onion, 4 med-thick slices * Garlic, 1 whole head * 2 TBSP Turmeric powder * 1 TBSP Ginger powder * 2 Cinnamon, whole sticks

1) Slice the onion rings in half - then chop them into little bits: place these bits into the honey.

2) Separate garlic cloves from the head; peel & slice large cloves in half; place into the honey.

3) Measure spices & add to the honey.

Ingredients.
Honey Concoction.

Stir the onion, garlic & spices thoroughly into the honey & push cinnamon sticks into the honey blend.

4) Place lid on jar mouth and turn a few times - not too tight because you want the mixture to "breathe". Place the jarred honey on a plate, or in a bag - then store the mixture in a cool, dark place to ferment.

Store the mixture in a cool, dark place to ferment.

5) Over the next 7 Days, lift the lid & stir the honey blend - this will infuse the mixture with active fermentation, and help prevent mold from forming. Replace the lid, loosely, as before.

After a few days more, you may (or, may not) see little bubbles forming & the honey blend will begin to appear runny - this is part of the processing.

It usually takes about a month to complete the fermentation cycle & tighten the lid without incident. A [cloudy] appearance of the mixture, is from the spices & it is normal. However, if you see fuzzy mold - or notice a truly "off" odor … throw it out and start again.

Honey will keep for a very long time; sometimes, for years. Even if it crystalizes, it is still usable - just warm it up and it is smooth and tasty, again.

You can use this honey concoction as you would normally use honey; or you can simply scoop & eat 1 tsp. x3 daily.

I want to make very clear, that this way of dealing with my asthma, is what works for me - others will have to decide for themselves what works for them.

There is NO CURE for asthma: knowing that, understanding that … and also knowing and understanding that inhalers do me more harm than good, I CHOOSE HOLISTIC MEASURES.

And I will live my Life fully, for as long as Elohim decides.

I am not foolish with my Life, I love my husband & hope to spend the next 20 years with him - but, if Elohim decides to punch my ticket … I'm ready to go Home, beyond the clouds.

In a peaceful way, I pray.

Raw Honey may offer some supportive benefits for asthma symptoms. Studies suggest it may help reduce cough frequency and severity, a common asthma symptom - reducing frequency & severity could potentially improve sleep, & give comfort during flare-ups. Raw honey contains polyphenols and other compounds that may help reduce airway inflammation and oxidative stress, which are involved in asthma. Raw honey supports immune health: which can help prevent respiratory infections that worsens asthma.

Red Onion contributes to a healthy immune function, digestion, and metabolic health (energy balance, hormonal regulation, and body composition = the breakdown of your total body weight into fat mass and fat-free mass, which includes muscle, bone, water, and organs). Red Onion sulfur compounds (in allium, this element is vital for flavor, aroma, and health) enhance blood circulation and reduce inflammation, and quercetin may help lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. The antioxidants in red onions, have been shown in lab studies to inhibit cancer cell growth.

Garlic is a good source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, manganese - the sulfur compounds in garlic support liver function, and help the body eliminate toxins. Regular garlic intake reduces the frequency and duration of colds and flu. Garlic also has anti-inflammatory assets, which can help reduce joint and muscle inflammation.

Turmeric contains curcumin, which is beneficial for those suffering respiratory inflammation, cellular stress, and reactions to airborne irritants (dust, chemicals, and environmental pollution). Multiple studies show that curcumin can help reduce the activity of inflamed airway swelling of the lungs, mucus production, and bronchial constriction. Regular use has been linked to fewer asthma attacks and improved lung function for both asthma & COPD in some clinical studies.

Ginger has for over 1,000 years, been proven in Asia, to relax the airway's smooth muscle: an asthma trigger can cause airway smooth muscle to become inflamed. Studies found that a bioactive compound found in ginger, can mitigate lung inflammation - and that the spiciness of ginger, especially raw ginger, aids in clearing mucus from the throat.

Cinnamon has since ancient times, been recognized for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, & bronchodilatory (relaxing & widening of the airways in the lungs) capabilities, which are central to managing the pathology of asthma: relaxing the muscles in the airways will improve breathing, and reduce the severity of asthma symptoms.

PLANS IN THE MAKING~Self-Care 2026; Castle Rock-WA

I didn't do much physical activity last week - so, I made up for some of the laxness, this morning: still, kinda low-key due to asthma mucus keeping my lungs 🌬️ in struggle mode. But I want to stick to my workout schedule 👍 as much as possible 🤞 … and even though "all the fat belongs to the Lord", I'm not going to walk into Heaven fat, if I can help it 😇

Asthma 'Peak Flow' Meter; still in the "struggling" assessment.

I had planned to walk 👟 around the Park today, but the weather 🌦️ did not cooperate; so, I did an in-house Darebee workout 🏰🧘😊

First, a warm up with a toe touch stretch & arm stretches:

The Star Stretch Toe Touch exercise is a common flexibility exercise, but for older adults, especially those over 60, it can carry significant risks if done incorrectly or without modifications. If you have good flexibility, strong core and balance, and no back or joint issues, occasional, gentle toe touches may be safe. However, even then, it’s best to: Keep the movement hip-hinged (bend knees slightly) to reduce spinal flexion. Limit repetitions and duration. Stop if you feel dizzy, pain, or discomfort. Avoid if you have a history of disc problems, severe arthritis, or balance issues.

Star Stretch Toe Touch Exercise~Aim for 10 reps x2

#Safer alternatives for flexibility:

Seated Forward Bend: Sit upright on a chair, hinge at the hips, and reach toward your toes without fully bending the spine.

Chair assist Seated Forward bend~Aim for 10 reps x2

Seated Straddle Stretch: Sit with legs apart, reach toward one foot, and hold for 30 seconds per side.

Seated Straddle Stretch~Hold for a ct of 30 per side x2

Cat-Cow Stretch: Sit upright on a chair; alternate between arching and rounding the spine to improve flexibility and balance.

Cat-Cow Stretch~Aim for 12 reps x2

ARMPIT FAT exercises: You can’t honestly spot-reduce armpit fat, but strengthening the chest, shoulders, triceps, and upper back can tone the area and improve its appearance. Armpit fat, often called “bra bulge,” is the extra fat stored between the chest and upper arms. Genetics, hormones, and overall body fat levels influence its prominence. While you cannot target fat loss in this area alone, building muscle around the armpits combined with overall fat reduction can make the area appear firmer and more toned.

Armpit Fat exercises~Aim for  a count of 30 EA Set, x2

The Darebee Arms & Abs Workout is designed to strengthen both your arms and abs through a series of bodyweight exercises. The workout focuses on building core strength; it includes exercises that target the upper and lower abs, as well as the core muscles, which help in overall stability and performance. The workout is structured to provide a gradual increase in difficulty, making it suitable for all fitness levels.

I have also included alternate exercises (marked with a #) that may benefit those with limited flexibility.

Muscles Worked
Punches~Aim for 30 ct x2; Pushup's~5 reps x2; Planks~Aim for a count of 30 x2

#Side Punches - also called cross punches - are a common striking technique in boxing and self-defense. Boxing provides cardiovascular exercise. For a 69-year-old woman, they can be safe if done with proper form, & controlled intensity: prioritize form, control, and joint protection over speed or power. At 69, natural wear and tear can affect shoulders, elbows, wrists, and core stability. Side punches require shoulder rotation, elbow flexion, and core engagement, so starting with light, controlled reps and gradually increasing intensity is important . When to avoid or modify: If you have recent shoulder, elbow, or wrist injuries. If you experience pain during or after training. If you are not physically fit or have balance issues.

#Modify by keeping the motion light & fluid, and the reps at a 30 second count, instead of a 30 minute workout.

Side Air Punches~Aim for a count of 30 x2

#If mobility is an issue, consider the chair-based exercises:

Sitting Air Punches~Aim for a count of 30 x2

#Incline Push-ups can be a safe and effective exercise for a 69-year-old woman, provided she follows proper form and safety guidelines. Here are some key points to consider: Proper Form: Incline push-ups require a straight body line, engaging the core, and keeping elbows at a 45-degree angle to protect joints. Wrist Pain: If she experiences wrist pain, she can place a rolled-up towel under her palms. Core Engagement: A strong core is crucial for stability and posture, helping prevent lower back strain during the movement. Consistent Progress: Incorporating incline push-ups into her routine 2-3 times per week, slowly increasing reps or moving to a more difficult variation as strength improves. Heed Your Body's Signals: If you feel pain, stop immediately. It's best to regress to an easier modification rather than pushing through discomfort.

Bodyweight Incline Push Press~Aim for 5 reps x2

#Standing Elbow Plank Hold can be safe for a 69-year-old woman to do, provided she has proper form and technique. It is a low-impact exercise that can help improve core strength, balance, and posture. For a 69-year-old woman, it is generally safe to hold a plank for 15 to 30 seconds with good form. This duration is considered an excellent marker of strong functional core endurance at this stage of life. However, seniors with pre-existing medical conditions or injuries should consult their doctor before attempting planks. It is also important to start with shorter hold times and gradually increase as strength and comfortability improve. Seniors should listen to their body and stop immediately if they feel any pain or discomfort.

Wall Planks Exercise~Aim for a count of 30 x2

The primary purpose of the plank is to burn belly fat - so, keep the stomach sucked in, and make sure your shoulders, back, and butt are evenly in line.

#Standing Plank Leg Lift exercise is generally safe for a 69 year old woman to do. This exercise combines a plank’s core engagement with a leg movement, which can be beneficial for balance, strength, and mobility. Core stability: Planks engage the entire trunk, improving posture and balance, which can reduce fall risk. Leg activation: Lifting a leg from the plank position can help strengthen hip flexors, glutes, and core stabilizers. Functional mobility: Stronger core and leg muscles can make daily activities like standing up from a chair or walking easier. Listen to your body: Stop if you feel sharp pain, dizziness, or discomfort in the back, neck, or legs. Avoid if you have back pain, osteoporosis, spinal arthritis, or recent surgery.

Plank Leg Lift~Aim for 30 reps x2

#Standing Side Planks can be safe for a 69-year-old woman if done with proper form; however, she should avoid this exercise if she has any pre-existing conditions such as osteoporosis, spinal arthritis, hernia, or shoulder pain. Planks (including side variations) strengthen the core, improve posture, and enhance balance - all very important for reducing fall risk in older adults. Functional strength: They engage the obliques, lower back, and hip stabilizers, which support daily movements like standing up from a chair or walking. Low-impact compared to crunches: Unlike sit-ups, planks do not compress the spine or strain the neck. Safety Considerations: Use a wall or elevated surface for support. Keep holds short (10–20 seconds) and focus on form over duration. Maintain proper alignment: Keep your spine neutral, avoid arching or sagging, and engage your core. Listen to your body: stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or loss of balance.

Side Planks on Wall~Aim for a count of 30 x2

A Mini-Stepper can add a little low-impact cardio to your day. Trainers say the simplicity and accessibility of a portable, compact stepper, can help people stay consistent with their daily movement goals, particularly if they’ve got limited space at home. Some models - like  mine, have a digital monitor that tracks steps, time, and calories burned - that helps users stay aligned with their fitness goals. The only thing I don't like about it … is the squeakiness of the rubber band when it gets dry; other than that, I really like my stepper when I can't get outside to walk in nature.

Aim for 30 minutes on the stepper … you can break this time down into workable portions throughout the Day, if you choose - just keep the count at 30 minutes total.

Workout completed, I checked out my newsfeed & was instantly angered 🧐💻🌐😡 In his parody 🗣️💩 of the event on Thursday, Kimmel 👹🤡🎭 said, “Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”

NOT FUNNY 🤬

And it actually borders on treason.

How long are Americans going to stand for this hate-filled obamanite garbage passed off as comedy?

There is NOTHING FUNNY about wishing widowhood ☠️ on a woman.

And here is nothing redeeming in those black-hearted morons 🤯 who think this warped mindset is humorous 🥴

{{Melania Trump rips Jimmy Kimmel and urges ABC to 'take a stand'

~Story by Daniel Arkin

First Lady, Melania Trump.

First lady Melania Trump sharply criticized ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel on Monday for on-air comments he made about her and urged the Disney-owned broadcast network to "take a stand."

In a post on X, Trump said Kimmel’s "hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country." She appeared to be referring to a parody of the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner that aired on Kimmel’s show on Thursday.

"You have a glow like an expectant widow," Kimmel said of the first lady in the segment.

The segment aired two days before a gunman opened fire outside the Correspondents' Association dinner in Washington. President Donald Trump, the first lady and other top officials were rushed out of the ballroom.

The suspect wrote in a note to his family that he believed it was his duty to target Trump administration officials.

Kimmel’s "monologue about my family isn't comedy — his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America," the first lady wrote. "People like Kimmel shouldn't have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate."

"A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him," she added. "Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC's leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community."

ABC and the Walt Disney Company did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the first lady's social media post.

The first lady’s criticism of Kimmel comes seven months after ABC briefly suspended "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" amid a firestorm over his comments about the political motivations of the man accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah.

"The MAGA gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said on his Sept. 15 show.

Investigators had not yet released details about the suspect’s possible motive at the time. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox, a Republican, said the suspect grew up in a conservative household in Utah but later became influenced by what he characterized as "leftist ideology."

The week after Kimmel's suspension, the comedian returned to the airwaves and delivered an emotional opening monologue. "You understand it was never my intention to make light of the murder of a young man," he said in part, referring to Kirk. "I don’t think there’s anything funny about it."

In early December, Kimmel signed a one-year extension at ABC to continue hosting the network's flagship late-night talk show, according to a source familiar with the matter.

The first lady has grown increasingly concerned about security measures in recent years, according to a source close to her. She can be seen asking specific questions about the inaugural parade route in the documentary "Melania."

"Is it safe? Because if we go out, I think people will already know where we would go out," the first lady says in the film. “So it's kind of like, how could that be safe, especially with the last year, what’s going on and stuff?"

In remarks that aired on CBS’ "60 Minutes" Sunday, the president praised his wife’s composure during the weekend shooting.

"Well, my thought was, you know, I’ve been through this before a couple of times, and she has not, to this extent," he said. "She handled it great. I mean, she was, she is very strong, smart. She got it. She knew what was happening."

The first lady was not present when a gunman attempted to assassinate her husband at a 2024 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The same was true when another gunman attempted to assassinate him later that year outside his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Which led into my own sticky situation, here. Why 🤔 do we let other peoples words 💬 ruin our dreams? It’s like their words can absorb into our thoughts 🧠 and then the downward spiral starts 💔 Why do the words that hurt us stick so much longer than the words that lift us? We share something we love, something we’ve poured our heart into … and one dismissive comment 🤦🏻‍♀️ can drown out a dozen kind ones 😌

This is how it's supposed to be:

The way it's supposed to be …

And I won't accept anything less.

I watched my sister-in-laws who married into the Hargand family … and my sister who married into the Halfmoon family, be disrespected & treated like nobody's 😩💔😭 And I always avoided that kind of toxic treatment. Bob treated me good - he went beyond loving me: he cherished me - if anyone talked derogatorily about me (usually family members), he cut time spent with them; if I wasn't invited, he stopped going. This upset a lot of people, but it kept US strong 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

MPO is that if a man doesn't place his wife at the top of the totem pole, he wasn't raised right 🤨 If a man chooses anyone - or anything - over & above his wife … he deserves to lose her & she's better off without him.

2 out of 4; still holding out for Song of Solomon 2:10 & Ephesians 5:25 Deal Breakers.

I have never entertained a toxic alpha-mentality 😤 male, and it is embarrassing 🙄 that I now find myself hobbled to one.

I don't allow myself to be disrespected, or treated like I don't exist when we go to social gatherings: so, now he goes alone and can stay gone.

I deserve to be loved openly 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨💖

I deserve to be cherished like I am a precious gem in my husband's crown 💎🦁👑

I expect to be 1st in my husband's life 💯

I'm worth it & I won't settle for anything less.

HE can call me a goat 🐐 all he wants to; as a Capricorn … I'll accept it as a compliment 😉

GOAT is an acronym for "Greatest Of All Time" and is used to praise individuals, performances, or creations that are unmatched in quality or achievement.

While I was scrolling FB Reels 💻🌐🎞️ I saw a cool semi - I was surprised it is licensed & acceptable for hauling gigs … but, it is cool.

A steam punk 18 wheeler - I would love to come across this fella, if I ever get back to road gypsying!

Seeing all that metal work got me to thinking 🤔 about the Spirits of Iron Sculpture Park, about an hour from here; the 1st & last time I as there, was the summer of 2022. I'm thinking about a revisit around Mother's Day 📅 - it will get me out of the house, and redirect my thoughts away from all the missingness of my Past Life, as well as my current life.

I think a Day out  - minding my own business 📸 & mingling with strangers, is called for ⛽️🚘🗺️🏔️👭😊

These pieces of beautiful artwork are very tall.
NEW ADVENTURES FOR MY NEW LIFE ~Shabbat Blessing:  (https://jeastofeden.blogspot.com/2022/08/new-adventures-for-my-new-life-shabbat.html)
Mother's Day Plans while here, in WA~Toledo, Ethel, Mossyrock, Morton, Mineral, Elbe & 'Iron Spirits' this side of Ashford.

I'm very familiar with the region, the roads - and honestly … I am more comfortable with strangers than I am with family: strangers allow you to breathe without crowding your personal space, asking prodding questions they have no right to delve into, or trying to dominate your life.

Yeah - this describes me well 😂🤣 I can walk in nature, & hobnob with strangers, for hours on end; but peopling with relatives for even the bare minimum - totally drains me.

I've got the time, I've got 💰 saved, and I will borrow Betsy 🚘🤝

Things are looking better, already 👌😁
