I'm glad Holland is relaxing 🤗🤝 about my Messianic Lifestyle ✡️✝️ observance of Shabbat observance - we're not yet at the point of candle lighting, challah baking/breaking, or Israeli-themed meals… but, at least there is no loud, objectionable harassments ❌😤🤬 hanging in the atmosphere, anymore 🤞
He's coming around to liking the idea of a 3 Day weekend 😊
That's a true blessing 💞: (((THANK YOU, LORD 👑🕊️)))
He's understanding that as a Messianic Jew-Christian, I do not adhere to orthodox constraints (I am not bound by the additional, rigorous, man-made obedience's, that Jewish rabbi's have tacked onto Elohim's original command of Sabbath obedience; neither am I bound by protestant preachers' demands), BUT I DO LIKE Yeshua's example & the Gospel teaching of 24-hour peacefulness of time, I set aside every Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, just to mentally unwind 💫, physically relax/breathe deeply ✌🏻, spiritually focus on Elohei’s goodness/faithfulness 🤲☝️, & generally just {be} 💖 Also, lots of reading 📖: not always Torah, Haftarah, or B'rit Chadashah themed material.
An entire Day (24 hour period) in which I do not have to do anything but focus on what's really important: relaxing rest 😇, well-being regroup 🧘🤰, refreshing/necessary reset 🧎🏼♀️🙏, and leave everything else in Elohim's capable hands. Doing that puts me (and others like me, globally) in a different frame of mind all Day 🪔🌎🌍
SO IMPORTANT!
There's no need to remember every Shabbat detail separately 📜📌 I simply pull the plug out of the weekday routine 📅 & plug into the Shabbat routine 🔌💥 The rest is habit and muscle memory.
This morning, while drinking my morning mug of joy juice ☕️, I enjoyed a half hour of Biblical Hebrew lessons 💻🌐✡️ I study Biblical Hebrew; not because it is required … but simply, because it interests me 😊
Then, I did some stretching, to relax & limber up my upper body muscles; and a short arm fat reducing routine.
Darebee Reset Workout: This is a light workout, that is easy to do anywhere, standing while waiting for your early morning joy juice to brew, between domestic tasks, or even at your desk. The reset workout will help you stretch out the small knots of tension from your muscles, improve circulation and feel, in general, like you have been totally regenerated. Purpose and Benefits: (1) Release small knots of tension in muscles (2) Improve circulation for a fresher, more energized feel (3) Target desk‑related stiffness without needing special gear (4) Be eco‑friendly - no exotic equipment or energy sources required.
I also did a couple sets of an upper body arm fat reducer routine … I like sleeveless tops & want my arms and shoulders to look nice while wearing them 😉
Palm-to-Palm Hand Press~hold for a 10 ct x2
Pat-On-The-Back Stretch~hold for a 10 ct x2
Upper Arm Stritch & Pull~hold for a 10 ct x2
Chair Camel~Arch backward - keep your neck long, & hold for a ct of 10 x2
Seated Upper Back Stretch; stay in posture for 10 sec's. x2
Overhead Arm-Reach Stretch~hold for a 10 ct x2
20 ct. EA set, x2
Supper was also relaxed - we finished off the pizza leftover from last night 🍕 Kitchen cleanup was quick 👍 … and then, I spent the rest of the evening yo-yoing between husband 👩❤️💋👨, and Mayan intrigue 📖
Cussler~Fargo Adventure; Mayan Secrets; covered with one of MOD Sc-Bar St. Paperback Covers: (https://roadgypsiesvalandholland.blogspot.com/2026/07/mod-crochet-sc-bar-st-paperback.html)
Holland drove 🚘 into Coalinga this afternoon - his prescription ⚕️ came in, he traded an old propane tank in for a new 💰 model (it still cost him, but the old one was taken off his hands to be disposed of by the store); and he came home with gifts 😊
New propane tank; this little heater really puts the warmth out. There should be a winner in this handful, somewhere.
While he was gone, I had rinsed my hair with warm water & cider vinegar, to cut hair product build-up and restore shine; I also tried a leave-in hair conditioner which left my hair shining soft 😊 - cut my bangs back ✂️ a bit … and admired the white stripes threaded through my gray 😉
Trimming my bangs back; I really need to visit a salon to get my ends tidied.
I like this hair treatment - it's not heavy in the hair at all. Big + with me … and I'm still liking the white 'skunk stripes'.
Later on, as the day slid into the night, I listened to a peppy, introspective Hanukkah song 🎧🕎🎶 shining some holiday joy ✨ into my little home; and worked up a beanie and some "knee high" socks to complete the little pink sleep gown I finished last night:
Drawstring Hemline.
Matching Beanie & Knee-high Socks; Preemie-NB~Same dye lot … different lighting throughout the Day.
Hanukkah “We Still Shine” Song 🎵 Emotional Jewish Worship Music | English & Hebrew | Am Yisrael Chai
This 3rd Day of Hanukkah 2025, I was happy to note the shining white stripes that add some natural glitter to my gray hair 👍; I've been happily pleased to locate a pro-pregnancy center where I can shine a little joy into strangers' lives 👭❤️🎁 with the little handcrafted designs I enjoy working up; and I am purposefully bringing my messianic faith ✡️✝️ back to the forefront of my life - I am not pushy about it… but I am not going to be bullied anymore into hiding it, either - in my home 🏰, in this short period of Life I am blessed to continue living, my Life will shine ☝️💥 with Elohim's 👑 faithfulness to me: and my observance candles 🕯️ will shine brightly in my mind's eye, even if they cannot yet openly shine with my new man's presence in the home we are building together.
We are very different, but Elohim has paired us - I believe that eventually my husband will bow to Elohim's Will & I can worship my God openly without rebuke. 1 Corinthians 7:14, says the unbelieving spouse is "sanctified" (made holy/set apart) through their believing partner; the believing spouse acts as "salt and light," making the home environment holy and increasing the chance for the unbeliever to hear the Gospel and be saved personally, as faith isn't transferable but a personal choice. In every way - except in religious choices - my husband treats me very well: his horns only come out when my Faith comes into the Day, which is pretty much all day, every day. I honor Elohim, I love Yeshua, and I lean into the Ruach's wisdom. This is how I live my Life. My husband will have to adjust.
This Hanukkah I will remember what has happened to Jews 😟 worldwide - and the cowardly silence 😑 (even from those calling themselves Christians) that echoes across every continent in every city, town, small community that has allowed the hostility 😡🤬, the shaming 😈, the shunning 😵💫, the harassments 👹👺 , and the blatant murder of Jews 🥊: simply for breathing air.
This Hanukkah, this Jew (moi), will continue to stand 🗽 with Israel; I will continue to join the Jewish hearts and voices that boldly say, "I am here. I will not hide. We still shine🕯️"

SO much fun to see people I've met and known in my early Messianic Christian Walk - we've all gotten much older as the years passed 😂🤣
The Jesus People movement was fading when I became aware of the Messianic Jews for Jesus movement.
Over time, Bob joined me in the Messianic Walk, & I we met, fellowshipped, and sung with Stuart Dobermann, and Joel Chernoff.
From 1979 I was introduced by friends to the 'Jews for Jesus' movement, and the Messianic Band 'Lamb': I was immediately hooked (I had been praying for music I could relate to). I have listened to, & bought every song Lamb (Joel's band) ever out out: Bob & I met him in person in 2013; when he was a guest speaker/singer at the fellowship we were attending in Vancouver-WA. We met & fellowshipped with Stuart at a home fellowship in Lexington-WA, in 1987; at the time, he was a fledgling songwriter from Nebraska. I was also introduced to the 'Purple Pomegranate' Jewish Folk music, of Haight-Ashbury-CA (no longer operating), which I enjoyed. Stuart's music is sung in many Christian churches - and I spotted his songs in the hymnal at the Oak Point meets - I was glad to see that his songs had finally been put into a collection.
Paul Wilbur, a singer then with the Messianic Band, 'Israel's Hope' was an instrumental singer Bob listened to during his 1981 healing, following his death & resurrection (there are witnesses to this fact, as well as medical documentation on record). Paul's early messianic songs were too frantic for me… but, Bob loved the frenzy.
I had been listening to Marty Goetz's songs every Saturday on televised 'The Jewish Voice' program. Bob started watching with me after he got saved in 1981. And our biker friend Dave Hargrove started joining us in our livingroom, every Saturday: he eventually got saved & left this Earth in 2014, and I will see him again when my ticket to paradise is stamped 😊
Since 1988, Bob & I attended Messianic Fellowships in Portland-OR & Vancouver-OR, pretty exclusively. When Bob was called home beyond the clouds, the winter of 2018, it took me a while to drive myself to the Vancouver fellowship again & I went every Saturday morning until I remarried.
Holland gets nervous around anything Jewish - including me: this is part of the redmill religion paranoia.
BUT, my messianic lifestyle is being brought back into the home environment. For 30 months it has been stopped because Holland would get so furious; he was so fearful of anything Jewish, and accusing me of practicing seventh day aventism, and literally calling me a devil worshipper(his actual words a few minutes ago 😔). Now, I'm just tired of being silenced, & I'm really tired of trying to explain something he does not want to hear - he is determined to believe what he believes; he has been indoctrinated by the redmill religion based on cultic tyranny, and fear to hold him from breaking lose.
Personally, I intend to have peace reigning in the home; I have tried to meet my new husband halfway … but he is only interested in digging his heels in to force the devilish redmill religion. I am no longer going to be bullied, or shut down.
Messianic songs, again, will fill the interior environment.
And Shabbat meals with challah will grace weekend table, again.
I am going to be myself, again … and he can join me, or not: the choice is his. But there will be no more fighting with him on this issue. The Home Atmosphere is my decision (Holland has been very clear on male-female roles; I am going to hold him to his role preferences), and I intend to have peace reigning in the home. Our time spent in CA through the next few months should be interesting …
I'm glad I found this documentary; Elohim always provides 😁👌
My husband does not join me… but, at least he is no longer fighting me on the issue.
I practice self-care: my body is the Temple of the Ruach HaKo'desh - it is on me to maintain it, so it functions to the best of it's ability.
I tone it.
I feed it.
Chili Mac in a mug for Supper; with cinnamon cornbread. YUM!
And when sundown arrives … I rest it.
A Day of Rest = Shabbat, is a Commandment … it is not negotiable. That it is a hard and fast commandment is no hardship for me: I want to always stay close to Elohei - to learn what it is He wants to teach me; to do what He has for me to do with this brief Life I am blessed to be living.
I honor Elohim & I love Yeshua, so I engage in the 24 hour rest to please those I love. Those Who love me, unconditionally. Though Elohim has blessed me greatly with an Earth Husband to live my days out with, Yeshua is my eternal Bridegroom: "I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies" (Song of Solomon 6:3).
In a personal context, this verse carries a message of complete, mutual, and selfless giving between two lovers (Yeshua is the lover of my soul, and I in turn, love Yeshua more than anyone else; hands down, Yeshua is #1 with my attention & affection), representing both the belonging to each other and the joyous recognition of the gift of the other (Yeshua joys over me with singing; Zephaniah 3:17). In a religious context, it symbolizes the intimate, unbreakable union between Messiah Yeshua and Believers, where each fully belongs to the other in a spiritual relationship of mutual love and possession.
Lilies, in their various forms, carry potent spiritual meanings. Generally, they symbolize purity, renewal, & a reflection of the cycle of life: the promise of new beginnings after a period of change.
So, on Shabbat I practice self-care by celebrating my God, exulting in His divine Spirit, and resting in Yeshua's presence. It is all so very simple, yet surprisingly many Believers overlook it - and some, raised on - or practicing light christianity = a compromise with sin, whereby claims of following Yeshua (Jesus) may be sporadic, highlighting a lack of a truly transformed life or a solid desire to live by Biblical principles; aligning themselves with cultural norms, and personal convenience … fear anything & everything connecting The Faith to Jews, ignore the Shabbat altogether claiming it as irrelevant.
Well, my take on the matter is, that Elohim commanded it - and Yeshua, Himself, observed it… making clear that the observance had primarily to do with rest rather than orthodox rules and regulations that lead away from Elohim's true purpose, and sour people on the observance.
If we follow Yeshua's example in all things, we cannot go wrong: I observe the Shabbat Rest as Yeshua did.
As Messianic Christians, we know we are supposed to learn about His character, who He is, His plan for our lives, His plan for the future. You know what self-care looked like to Jesus? It looked like getting away to spend time with Father Elohim … resting in His presence is true freedom, peace, and joy the world can never give us. He has the answer and it doesn’t look like what the world is pandering to us. The One who created us is the only One who knows what we truly need. It behooves us to put aside a brief 24-hour period in which our bodies, minds, and souls can rest from the world's chaos; a brief span of time at the busy week's wrap-up, where our bodies are refreshed, our minds are calmed, and our souls are soothed.
Only when we are recharged to operate in the fullness of our created purpose can we hope to live out Elohim's message, stated in Leviticus 19:18 to "love your neighbor as yourself" - loving others with respect, kindness, and empathy: these things sound very nice to say … but they are actually very hard to do if you are not practicing self-care mitzvah.
The literal meaning of the Hebrew word mitzvah is commandment, but the generally accepted sense is that of a good deed. The emphasis is on deeds - not on positive thoughts or wishes, but on conscious acts of empathy and kindness.
The phrase "as yourself" implies something deeper than just an outward action - to me, it suggests that loving others with an outward action is first generated by loving oneself, as a first requirement. How can you healthily love a stranger, if you do not first understand a healthy self love?
A healthy self-love is basic self-care: understanding your worth as a child of God, and as a human being designed to represent the triune Godhead - Father, Son, Holy Spirit = the Eternal One, by which you nurture your well-being, and create an environment where you can thrive; an environment sustained by the Shabbat's peaceful and refreshing Rest. Only by taking care of your inner self for a short, yet regenerating 24-hour Rest, will you be capable of filling your own vessel - so you can then pour out love to others with authenticity, generosity, and compassion.
This is the purpose of Shabbat.
This is Yeshua's example of Shabbat observance.
This is why I take the time to make time for Shabbat.
Prison is the last place from which to expect a letter of encouragement, but that is where ^Paul's second letter to ^^Timothy originated(begin; start). He begins by assuring(to inform or tell positively; to say with confidence) Timothy of his continuing love and prayers, and reminds him of his spiritual heritage and responsibilities. Only the one who perseveres(to continue making an effort to do; to work to achieve something - even when this is difficult, or takes a long time) - whether as a soldier, athlete, farmer, or minister of *Yeshua Ha'Mashiach - will reap the reward. Paul warns Timothy that his teaching will come under attack as men desert the #Truth for "ear itching" (be more concerned with what feels good or comfortable, not with the truth; to seek out teachers who support their own views) words.
But Timothy has Paul's example to guide him and **Elohim's ##Word to fortify(strengthen; secure firmly) him as he faces growing oppositions and glowing opportunities in the last days.
Timothy's name is found more often in the salutations (greetings) of the Pauline ###Epistles than any other (2 Corinthians; Philippians; Colossians; 1 & 2 Thessalonians; 1 & 2 Timothy). Timothy's father was a Greek (Acts 16:1), but his Jewish mother ^^^Eunice, and his grandmother ^^^^Lois, reared him in the knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures (1:5). Timothy evidently became a convert of Paul (1 Corinthians 4:17; 1 Timothy 1:2; 2 Timothy 1:2) when the Apostle Paul was in Lystra on his first missionary journey (Acts 14:8 thru 20).
Lystra during Paul's timeline, was a remote market town in Lycaonia - which would be south-central modern-day Turkey.
When Paul visited Lystra on his second missionary journey, he decided to take Timothy along with him and circumcised(a hood of skin, called the foreskin, covers the head (or glans) of the penis; in circumcision, the foreskin is surgically removed, exposing the end of the penis) him because of the %Jews (Acts 16:1 thru 3). Timothy was ordained(to be officially declared) into the ministry (1 Timothy 4:14 & 2 Timothy 1:6) and served as a devoted companion and assistant to Paul in Troas, Berea, Thessalonica, and Corinth (Acts 16 thru 18; 1 Thessalonians 3:1, 2). During the third missionary journey, Timothy labored with Paul and ministered for him - as his representative(standing in authority for another; or acting on behalf of another) - in Ephesus, Macedonia, and Corinth; he was with Paul during his first Roman imprisonment. Paul trusted Timothy to supervise the ministry in Ephesus (1 Timothy 1:3). According to Hebrews 13:23, Timothy was imprisoned and released - but the passage does not say where.
Timothy was sicky (1 Timothy 5:23), timid(shy, nervous; lack confidence in themselves), and youthful (1 Timothy 4:12) - but he was a gifted teacher who was trustworthy and diligent(careful, hard-working, and persistent in efforts).

2 TIMOTHY ~ Chapter 1
Thanksgiving For Timothy's Faith
(vv. 1 thru 5)
"Paul, an apostle of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach by the Will of Elohim, according to the promise of Life - which is in Yeshua the Messiah.
To Timothy, my beloved son: grace, mercy, and peace from Elohim the Father and Yeshua the Messiah, our ***Lord (1 Timothy 1:2). I thank Elohim, Whom I serve(to perform a role or function) with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day (Acts 24:14), greatly desiring(to want something very much or have a strong longing for something) to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy(great delight; happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying), when I call to remembrance (an act of recalling to mind) the genuine(absolute, certain, honest)!Faith that is in you; which dwelt(lived; stayed; existed) first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice - and I am persuaded(from the Hebrew לְדַרְבֵּן {leh-dahr-BEN} = to motivate, to persuade) in you also.
Reminder of Timothy's Responsibility
(vv. 6 thru 18)
Therefore, I remind (to make someone aware of something) you to stir up(to ignite = cause to start burning; strength, zeal) the gift(charisma = khar'-is-mah: a divine spiritual endowment; religious qualification; or miraculous faculty - a free gift) of Elohim which is in you through the laying on of hands(in Christianity, the "laying on of hands" is an action associated with blessings, commissioning, or the imparting of spiritual gifts, or to make bold with divine power, such as the Holy Spirit)~(Acts 8:14 thru 17 &1 Timothy 4:14). For **Elohei (el-o-hey) has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind(sane, rational, and mentally competent, capable of making sound judgments and understanding their actions: sensible & well-balanced)~(Acts 1:8 & Romans 8:15).Therefore do not be ashamed(distressed or embarrassed) of the testimony(the act of sharing one's personal experiences, encounters, and reflections of Yeshua's work in our lives) of our *Lord, nor of me in the sufferings for the ####Gospel according to the power of Elohim, Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling(a divine invitation to dedicate one's life to Elohim: based on Elohim's grace {an unearned gift or favor} and purpose {Elohim's Plan = Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 8:29; 12:1-2}, and it emphasizes the idea that people are chosen to fulfill a spiritual mission) - not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Yeshua the Messiah before time began (Romans 3:20, Romans 8:28, & Romans 16:25), but now has been revealed(to make known; or show something that is surprising; or that was previously secret) by the appearing(to be seen) of our Savior Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Who has abolished(to completely do away with)death(die in all respects of the word) and brought life (the gift of the ***Ruach HaKo'desh = breathed upon by superhuman life force; spiritual soul, & physical body, revived and restored) and immortality(to live forever; eternal life) to light through the Gospel (Ephesians 1:9) to which I was appointed a preacher, an ^apostle, and a teacher of the ^^^^^Gentiles.
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know in Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed(to have made a pledge or promise) to Him until that #####Day.
Hold fast(to firmly remain in the same position or keep the same opinion) the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, of faith and love which are in Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (1 Timothy 6:3). That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Ruach HaKo'desh, Who dwells in us.
This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are ^#Phygellus & ^^#Hermoggenes.
The Lord grant mercy to the household of ^^^#Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my imprisonment; but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very diligently and found me. The Lord grant(to give or permit) to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day - and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus (2 Thessalonians 1:10 & Hebrews 6:10).
^Apostle Paul = known as Saul before he converted to Christianity (Acts 9), was the chief killer of Christians following Yeshua’s death, resurrection, and ascension – being the foremost witness to the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7).
The Apostle Paul was one of the most influential leaders of the early Christian Church. He played a crucial role in spreading the gospel to the Gentiles (non-Jews) during the first century, and his missionary journeys took him all throughout the Roman empire.
Apostle (/əˈpɒsəl/) = in its literal sense, is an emissary. The word is derived from Ancient Greek ἀπόστολος (apóstolos), literally "one who is sent off", itself derived from the verb ἀποστέλλειν (apostéllein), "to send off". The purpose of such sending off is usually to convey a message, and thus "messenger" is a common alternative translation; other common translations include "ambassador" and "envoy".
Apostle in the Gospels is one of an authoritative New Testament group sent out to preach the gospel and made up especially of Christ's 12 original disciples and Paul.
^^Timothy = son of the devout Jewish woman, Eunice, and a Greek father, Timothy became a follower of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach when Apostle Paul preached the Gospel in Lystra, Timothy’s hometown. Paul invited the young convert to accompany him on his second missionary journey; and was sent to Thessalonica to strengthen the fellowship there. After another journey with Paul, Timothy was sent to Corinth to straighten out some problems upsetting the fellowship there.
Timothy later looked after Paul during Paul’s imprisonment. Timothy subsequently was asked to go to Ephesus to represent Paul, and received the two letters from Paul that bear Timothy’s Name. Timothy – these letters reveal, was like a son to Paul.
The last word in the New Covenant about this sensitive, sickly, but faithful young helper was that he was imprisoned but finally released. Acts 16:1, 17:14-15, 18:5, 19:22 & 20:4; Romans 16:21; 1 Corinthians 4;17 & 16:10; 2 Corinthians1:1 & 19; Colossians 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 1:1, 3:2, & 6; 2 Thessalonians 1:1; 1 & 2 Timothy; Philemon 1; and Hebrews 13:23.
^^^Eunice = a Jewish woman who lived in Lystra in Asia Minor, married to a gentile man. Their son, Timothy, was never circumcised - perhaps out of respect for Eunice's husband. However, Eunice and her mother, Lois, carefully taught the youngster the Torah. She was probably converted to Yeshua Ha'Mashiach by Paul's 1st missionary journey through Lystra; she was a Christian by the time Paul revisited Lystra a second time. Acts 16:1; 2 Timothy 1:5 & 3:15
^^^^Lois = Grandmother of Timothy, and mother of Eunice, Timothy's mother. Lois was a devout Jewish woman who lived with her daughter in Lystra, in Asia Minor. She helped look after Paul when he & Barnabas were nearly killed by the angry mob - and through Paul, became a Christian Believer. A woman of "unfeigned faith", she taught her daughter and grandson the Jewish Scriptures. She was held in high esteem by Paul, and was referred to by Paul when he wrote to Timothy to bolster his faith. 2 Timothy 1:5
^^^^^Gentile = a person who is not Jewish. The word stems from the Hebrew term ha-goyim, “the nations,” meant nations of the world that were not Hebrew.
%Jews = Judaizers, a faction of the Jewish Christians who believed Mosaic Law (laws given to Moses on Mount Sinai; related to relationship with Elohim, civil justice, social behavior, and ethical conduct) & the Levitical Laws (specifically describes the detailed laws concerning worship, ritual purity, and sacrifices, found primarily in the book of Leviticus; with its focus on the priesthood and ritual practices) still applied to all Christians. The Judaizers' doctrine was a false doctrine that mixed grace through Christ, and works through the keeping of the Law. This doctrine was strongly condemned in the book of Galatians.
*Yeshua Ha’Mashiach: is Hebrew for “Jesus the Messiah”; the name Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Yeshua.
Christ (from the Hebrew word, Ha’Mashiach ישוע המשיח & the Greek word, Christos/khris-tos) = The Anointed, Yeshua the Messiah, in both languages.
Lord Jesus Christ (in Greek: Kyrios Iēsous Christos) = the most formal title for Jesus (Yeshua). It occurs often in the New Testament letters.
The word “Lord” has a wide range of uses; it can be a simple respectful “Sir” or a more formal, “Master.” But the New Testament also uses “Lord” of God. The word “Christ” is the anglicized form of the Greek word meaning “anointed one” or “Messiah.” “Lord Jesus Christ” reminds us that Jesus is both the promised Messiah and our God.
**Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾּlōhīm: (eloˈ(h)im) is a Hebrew word meaning "Gods – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit". Although the word is plural in form, in the Hebrew Bible it usually refers to a single deity “Behold, the Lord – the Lord is One”, particularly the God of Israel.
Elohei = Hebrew, (אֱלֹהֶי) - can be translated as "God," "my God," or "God of," and is often found in phrases like "God of Israel"; Interchangeable with Elohim.
***Ruach HaKo'desh(The Hebrew language phrase ruach ha-kodesh is pronounced ROO-akh-KOH-desh: רוח הקודש, "holy spirit" also transliterated ruaḥ ha-qodesh) is used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה); the Holy Spirit occurs 90 times in the Brit Chadashah. Luke 3:16; Ephesians 1:13, & 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 4:8; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:9; & Jude 1:20.
The New Testament is called the B'rit Chadashah in Hebrew, meaning "New Covenant" (the word B'rit means "covenant" and Chadashah means "new").
#Truth = is that which is consistent with the mind, will, character, glory, and Being (actual source) of Elohim.
##Word = Elohim's revealed Will through His prophets (Old Covenant & New Covenant), the Scriptures (Torah, B'rit Chadashah, & Gospels), and most profoundly - Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Elohim's ultimate and perfect expression in the flesh: John 1:1
###Epistles = letters written to Christians by apostles and other figures. The word "epistle" comes from the Greek word epistolḗ which means "letter".
####Good News = Gospel: the word is derived from the Anglo-Saxon term, god-spell, meaning “good story”; Biblically speaking, gospel is a rendering of the Latin evangelium and the Greek euangelion, meaning “good news” or “good telling”.
#####The phrase “the Day of Christ” or “the Day of the Lord Jesus” is unique to the Apostle Paul. Paul also called the Day of Christ “that Day” in his last letter. The phrases are found in: 1 Corinthians 1:8, 3:13, 5:5; 2 Corinthians 1:14; Philippians 1:6, 10 & 2:16; 2 Timothy 1:18 & 4:8.
On the other hand, the phrase, “the Day of The Lord” (also called “that Day”) is common throughout the Old Covenant = Abrahamic: the prophets referred constantly to it. In the New Covenant = Gospel, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Paul and Peter referred to it. Some of those passages are as follows: Isaiah 2:12, 13:6 & 9, and 34:8; Ezekiel 13:5 & 30:3; Joel 1:15, 2:1, 11, & 31, and 3:14; Amos 5:18 & 5:20; Obadiah 1:15; Zephaniah 1:7, 14; Zechariah 14;1; Malachi 4:5; Matthew 24:1-51; Acts 2:20; Romans 2:5; 1 Thessalonians 5;2; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; 2 Peter 3:10 and Revelation 1:10 … and “that Day” phrases can be found in Isaiah 2:11, 17, 20 & 3:18 – this Day is a time of terror, darkness, and wrath: it is a “Day of Visitation”, Isaiah 10:3. A “Day of the wrath of The Lord”, Ezekiel 7:19, and “the Great Day of The Lord”, Zephaniah 1:14.
!Faith = the Hebrew word emunah (אמונה = ee-moon-ah) is translated to "faith" or "belief" in English. It can also be translated as "faithfulness". However, emunah is more closely related to the word "trust". It describes a life of complete reliance on God, and implies loyalty and trust in Him (Genesis 15:6). In Deuteronomy 7:9, God is referred to as "El Emunah", which means "the faithful God". Emunah is not just about accepting God's statements as true, but rather about demonstrating trust in God.
The closest that the Bible comes to offering an exact definition is Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we understand that the central feature of scriptural faith is confidence or trust; the object of faith is Elohim and His promises in Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.
Emunah is a gift from God, since it presupposes God's disclosure and revelation to the person who expresses it.
Emunah is expressed by living our lives in conscious trust of the promises and Presence of the LORD.
^#Phygellus = (pronounced: fi-gel'-us or fij'-oo-lus) was a one-time enthusiast for the Gospel, and one-time supporter of Paul, Phygellus hurt & disappointed Paul by ignoring him during Paul's last imprisonment at Rome. Perhaps it was fear of guilt by association, perhaps it was a quarrel over doctrine that led Phygellus and his associate Hermogenes to refuse to help Paul in his hour of need. 2 Timothy 1:15
^^#Hermogenes = (pronounced: her'-mah-genees) was an early Christian who was one of Paul's helpers. Also, one of those in Asia who deserted Paul during the Apostle's final imprisonment. Paul did not elaborate to Timothy on exactly what Hermogenes had done, but implied that fear of guilt by association may have been the the thrust behind the defection of himself, Phygellus, and all the others from Asia. 2 Timothy 1:15
^^^#Onesiphorus = (pronounced: On-eh-sif'-or-us) was a loyal friend of Paul, who at a time when everyone else was avoiding contact, took risks and effort to hunt for Paul's whereabouts when Paul was in a roman prison. Onesiphorus was from Ephesus and was an active member of the Christian fellowship there. Paul's recollection of Onesiphorus' ministry at Ephesus suggest that Onesiphorus was a deacon in that church. Onesiphorus' kindness to Paul in the roman prison came at a time when Paul was alone and friendless - and was deeply appreciated. 2 Timothy 1:16
