And any amount of bullying will have me digging my heels in like my childhood school mascot (a mule 😉).
I had hoped to get to some fellowship in Rosburg Thursday afternoons … but my husband thinks otherwise.
We will only be in WA State for a few more months - and he has every week BOOKED with Kelso & Woodland "appointments" (Wednesdays - Sundays; family, and weasel).
There is a fellowship here, local, but I would like to go to meets with my husband, who claims Christianity. When I was a Solo Lobo, I didn't mind going to new places alone: I was alone. But I am not alone now - and I do not like fielding the inevitable queries, "Are you married?" & "Where's your Husband?" Solo Lobo queries were not uncomfortable; questions asked now, will be uncomfortable.
The ONLY place Holland wants to go is to a vineyard deceptive gatherings - and he knows I will never go to those with him. He knows I MISS Fellowship; but if the atmosphere is not a concert environment with screaming guitars like metallica and ac/dc, backed by 2 hours of heretical BS … then he just shuts he whole concept down and calls me a "hater!"
Regardless, I STILL FEEL the same way as I did when I posted this Blog Post in 2022:
Prison is the last place from which to expect a letter of encouragement, but that is where ^Paul's second letter to ^^Timothy originated(begin; start). He begins by assuring(to inform or tell positively; to say with confidence) Timothy of his continuing love and prayers, and reminds him of his spiritual heritage and responsibilities. Only the one who perseveres(to continue making an effort to do; to work to achieve something - even when this is difficult, or takes a long time) - whether as a soldier, athlete, farmer, or minister of *Yeshua Ha'Mashiach - will reap the reward. Paul warns Timothy that his teaching will come under attack as men desert the #Truth for "ear itching" (be more concerned with what feels good or comfortable, not with the truth; to seek out teachers who support their own views) words.
But Timothy has Paul's example to guide him and **Elohim's ##Word to fortify(strengthen; secure firmly) him as he faces growing oppositions and glowing opportunities in the last days.
Timothy's name is found more often in the salutations (greetings) of the Pauline ###Epistles than any other (2 Corinthians; Philippians; Colossians; 1 & 2 Thessalonians; 1 & 2 Timothy). Timothy's father was a Greek (Acts 16:1), but his Jewish mother ^^^Eunice, and his grandmother ^^^^Lois, reared him in the knowledge of the Hebrew Scriptures (1:5). Timothy evidently became a convert of Paul (1 Corinthians 4:17; 1 Timothy 1:2; 2 Timothy 1:2) when the Apostle Paul was in Lystra on his first missionary journey (Acts 14:8 thru 20).
Lystra during Paul's timeline, was a remote market town in Lycaonia - which would be south-central modern-day Turkey.
When Paul visited Lystra on his second missionary journey, he decided to take Timothy along with him and circumcised(a hood of skin, called the foreskin, covers the head (or glans) of the penis; in circumcision, the foreskin is surgically removed, exposing the end of the penis) him because of the %Jews (Acts 16:1 thru 3). Timothy was ordained(to be officially declared) into the ministry (1 Timothy 4:14 & 2 Timothy 1:6) and served as a devoted companion and assistant to Paul in Troas, Berea, Thessalonica, and Corinth (Acts 16 thru 18; 1 Thessalonians 3:1, 2). During the third missionary journey, Timothy labored with Paul and ministered for him - as his representative(standing in authority for another; or acting on behalf of another) - in Ephesus, Macedonia, and Corinth; he was with Paul during his first Roman imprisonment. Paul trusted Timothy to supervise the ministry in Ephesus (1 Timothy 1:3). According to Hebrews 13:23, Timothy was imprisoned and released - but the passage does not say where.
Timothy was sicky (1 Timothy 5:23), timid(shy, nervous; lack confidence in themselves), and youthful (1 Timothy 4:12) - but he was a gifted teacher who was trustworthy and diligent(careful, hard-working, and persistent in efforts).

2 TIMOTHY ~ Chapter 1
Thanksgiving For Timothy's Faith
(vv. 1 thru 5)
"Paul, an apostle of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach by the Will of Elohim, according to the promise of Life - which is in Yeshua the Messiah.
To Timothy, my beloved son: grace, mercy, and peace from Elohim the Father and Yeshua the Messiah, our ***Lord (1 Timothy 1:2). I thank Elohim, Whom I serve(to perform a role or function) with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day (Acts 24:14), greatly desiring(to want something very much or have a strong longing for something) to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy(great delight; happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying), when I call to remembrance (an act of recalling to mind) the genuine(absolute, certain, honest)!Faith that is in you; which dwelt(lived; stayed; existed) first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice - and I am persuaded(from the Hebrew לְדַרְבֵּן {leh-dahr-BEN} = to motivate, to persuade) in you also.
Reminder of Timothy's Responsibility
(vv. 6 thru 18)
Therefore, I remind (to make someone aware of something) you to stir up(to ignite = cause to start burning; strength, zeal) the gift(charisma = khar'-is-mah: a divine spiritual endowment; religious qualification; or miraculous faculty - a free gift) of Elohim which is in you through the laying on of hands(in Christianity, the "laying on of hands" is an action associated with blessings, commissioning, or the imparting of spiritual gifts, or to make bold with divine power, such as the Holy Spirit)~(Acts 8:14 thru 17 &1 Timothy 4:14). For **Elohei (el-o-hey) has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind(sane, rational, and mentally competent, capable of making sound judgments and understanding their actions: sensible & well-balanced)~(Acts 1:8 & Romans 8:15).Therefore do not be ashamed(distressed or embarrassed) of the testimony(the act of sharing one's personal experiences, encounters, and reflections of Yeshua's work in our lives) of our *Lord, nor of me in the sufferings for the ####Gospel according to the power of Elohim, Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling(a divine invitation to dedicate one's life to Elohim: based on Elohim's grace {an unearned gift or favor} and purpose {Elohim's Plan = Ephesians 2:1-10; Romans 8:29; 12:1-2}, and it emphasizes the idea that people are chosen to fulfill a spiritual mission) - not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Yeshua the Messiah before time began (Romans 3:20, Romans 8:28, & Romans 16:25), but now has been revealed(to make known; or show something that is surprising; or that was previously secret) by the appearing(to be seen) of our Savior Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Who has abolished(to completely do away with)death(die in all respects of the word) and brought life (the gift of the ***Ruach HaKo'desh = breathed upon by superhuman life force; spiritual soul, & physical body, revived and restored) and immortality(to live forever; eternal life) to light through the Gospel (Ephesians 1:9) to which I was appointed a preacher, an ^apostle, and a teacher of the ^^^^^Gentiles.
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know in Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed(to have made a pledge or promise) to Him until that #####Day.
Hold fast(to firmly remain in the same position or keep the same opinion) the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, of faith and love which are in Yeshua Ha’Mashiach (1 Timothy 6:3). That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Ruach HaKo'desh, Who dwells in us.
This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are ^#Phygellus & ^^#Hermoggenes.
The Lord grant mercy to the household of ^^^#Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my imprisonment; but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very diligently and found me. The Lord grant(to give or permit) to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day - and you know very well how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus (2 Thessalonians 1:10 & Hebrews 6:10).
^Apostle Paul = known as Saul before he converted to Christianity (Acts 9), was the chief killer of Christians following Yeshua’s death, resurrection, and ascension – being the foremost witness to the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7).
The Apostle Paul was one of the most influential leaders of the early Christian Church. He played a crucial role in spreading the gospel to the Gentiles (non-Jews) during the first century, and his missionary journeys took him all throughout the Roman empire.
Apostle (/əˈpɒsəl/) = in its literal sense, is an emissary. The word is derived from Ancient Greek ἀπόστολος (apóstolos), literally "one who is sent off", itself derived from the verb ἀποστέλλειν (apostéllein), "to send off". The purpose of such sending off is usually to convey a message, and thus "messenger" is a common alternative translation; other common translations include "ambassador" and "envoy".
Apostle in the Gospels is one of an authoritative New Testament group sent out to preach the gospel and made up especially of Christ's 12 original disciples and Paul.
^^Timothy = son of the devout Jewish woman, Eunice, and a Greek father, Timothy became a follower of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach when Apostle Paul preached the Gospel in Lystra, Timothy’s hometown. Paul invited the young convert to accompany him on his second missionary journey; and was sent to Thessalonica to strengthen the fellowship there. After another journey with Paul, Timothy was sent to Corinth to straighten out some problems upsetting the fellowship there.
Timothy later looked after Paul during Paul’s imprisonment. Timothy subsequently was asked to go to Ephesus to represent Paul, and received the two letters from Paul that bear Timothy’s Name. Timothy – these letters reveal, was like a son to Paul.
The last word in the New Covenant about this sensitive, sickly, but faithful young helper was that he was imprisoned but finally released. Acts 16:1, 17:14-15, 18:5, 19:22 & 20:4; Romans 16:21; 1 Corinthians 4;17 & 16:10; 2 Corinthians1:1 & 19; Colossians 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 1:1, 3:2, & 6; 2 Thessalonians 1:1; 1 & 2 Timothy; Philemon 1; and Hebrews 13:23.
^^^Eunice = a Jewish woman who lived in Lystra in Asia Minor, married to a gentile man. Their son, Timothy, was never circumcised - perhaps out of respect for Eunice's husband. However, Eunice and her mother, Lois, carefully taught the youngster the Torah. She was probably converted to Yeshua Ha'Mashiach by Paul's 1st missionary journey through Lystra; she was a Christian by the time Paul revisited Lystra a second time. Acts 16:1; 2 Timothy 1:5 & 3:15
^^^^Lois = Grandmother of Timothy, and mother of Eunice, Timothy's mother. Lois was a devout Jewish woman who lived with her daughter in Lystra, in Asia Minor. She helped look after Paul when he & Barnabas were nearly killed by the angry mob - and through Paul, became a Christian Believer. A woman of "unfeigned faith", she taught her daughter and grandson the Jewish Scriptures. She was held in high esteem by Paul, and was referred to by Paul when he wrote to Timothy to bolster his faith. 2 Timothy 1:5
^^^^^Gentile = a person who is not Jewish. The word stems from the Hebrew term ha-goyim, “the nations,” meant nations of the world that were not Hebrew.
%Jews = Judaizers, a faction of the Jewish Christians who believed Mosaic Law (laws given to Moses on Mount Sinai; related to relationship with Elohim, civil justice, social behavior, and ethical conduct) & the Levitical Laws (specifically describes the detailed laws concerning worship, ritual purity, and sacrifices, found primarily in the book of Leviticus; with its focus on the priesthood and ritual practices) still applied to all Christians. The Judaizers' doctrine was a false doctrine that mixed grace through Christ, and works through the keeping of the Law. This doctrine was strongly condemned in the book of Galatians.
*Yeshua Ha’Mashiach: is Hebrew for “Jesus the Messiah”; the name Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Yeshua.
Christ (from the Hebrew word, Ha’Mashiach ישוע המשיח & the Greek word, Christos/khris-tos) = The Anointed, Yeshua the Messiah, in both languages.
Lord Jesus Christ (in Greek: Kyrios Iēsous Christos) = the most formal title for Jesus (Yeshua). It occurs often in the New Testament letters.
The word “Lord” has a wide range of uses; it can be a simple respectful “Sir” or a more formal, “Master.” But the New Testament also uses “Lord” of God. The word “Christ” is the anglicized form of the Greek word meaning “anointed one” or “Messiah.” “Lord Jesus Christ” reminds us that Jesus is both the promised Messiah and our God.
**Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾּlōhīm: (eloˈ(h)im) is a Hebrew word meaning "Gods – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit". Although the word is plural in form, in the Hebrew Bible it usually refers to a single deity “Behold, the Lord – the Lord is One”, particularly the God of Israel.
Elohei = Hebrew, (אֱלֹהֶי) - can be translated as "God," "my God," or "God of," and is often found in phrases like "God of Israel"; Interchangeable with Elohim.
***Ruach HaKo'desh(The Hebrew language phrase ruach ha-kodesh is pronounced ROO-akh-KOH-desh: רוח הקודש, "holy spirit" also transliterated ruaḥ ha-qodesh) is used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה); the Holy Spirit occurs 90 times in the Brit Chadashah. Luke 3:16; Ephesians 1:13, & 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 4:8; Titus 3:5; 1 Corinthians 6:9; & Jude 1:20.
The New Testament is called the B'rit Chadashah in Hebrew, meaning "New Covenant" (the word B'rit means "covenant" and Chadashah means "new").
#Truth = is that which is consistent with the mind, will, character, glory, and Being (actual source) of Elohim.
##Word = Elohim's revealed Will through His prophets (Old Covenant & New Covenant), the Scriptures (Torah, B'rit Chadashah, & Gospels), and most profoundly - Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Elohim's ultimate and perfect expression in the flesh: John 1:1
###Epistles = letters written to Christians by apostles and other figures. The word "epistle" comes from the Greek word epistolḗ which means "letter".
####Good News = Gospel: the word is derived from the Anglo-Saxon term, god-spell, meaning “good story”; Biblically speaking, gospel is a rendering of the Latin evangelium and the Greek euangelion, meaning “good news” or “good telling”.
#####The phrase “the Day of Christ” or “the Day of the Lord Jesus” is unique to the Apostle Paul. Paul also called the Day of Christ “that Day” in his last letter. The phrases are found in: 1 Corinthians 1:8, 3:13, 5:5; 2 Corinthians 1:14; Philippians 1:6, 10 & 2:16; 2 Timothy 1:18 & 4:8.
On the other hand, the phrase, “the Day of The Lord” (also called “that Day”) is common throughout the Old Covenant = Abrahamic: the prophets referred constantly to it. In the New Covenant = Gospel, Yeshua Ha’Mashiach, Paul and Peter referred to it. Some of those passages are as follows: Isaiah 2:12, 13:6 & 9, and 34:8; Ezekiel 13:5 & 30:3; Joel 1:15, 2:1, 11, & 31, and 3:14; Amos 5:18 & 5:20; Obadiah 1:15; Zephaniah 1:7, 14; Zechariah 14;1; Malachi 4:5; Matthew 24:1-51; Acts 2:20; Romans 2:5; 1 Thessalonians 5;2; 2 Thessalonians 2:2; 2 Peter 3:10 and Revelation 1:10 … and “that Day” phrases can be found in Isaiah 2:11, 17, 20 & 3:18 – this Day is a time of terror, darkness, and wrath: it is a “Day of Visitation”, Isaiah 10:3. A “Day of the wrath of The Lord”, Ezekiel 7:19, and “the Great Day of The Lord”, Zephaniah 1:14.
!Faith = the Hebrew word emunah (אמונה = ee-moon-ah) is translated to "faith" or "belief" in English. It can also be translated as "faithfulness". However, emunah is more closely related to the word "trust". It describes a life of complete reliance on God, and implies loyalty and trust in Him (Genesis 15:6). In Deuteronomy 7:9, God is referred to as "El Emunah", which means "the faithful God". Emunah is not just about accepting God's statements as true, but rather about demonstrating trust in God.
The closest that the Bible comes to offering an exact definition is Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” From this particular passage we understand that the central feature of scriptural faith is confidence or trust; the object of faith is Elohim and His promises in Yeshua Ha'Mashiach.
Emunah is a gift from God, since it presupposes God's disclosure and revelation to the person who expresses it.
Emunah is expressed by living our lives in conscious trust of the promises and Presence of the LORD.
^#Phygellus = (pronounced: fi-gel'-us or fij'-oo-lus) was a one-time enthusiast for the Gospel, and one-time supporter of Paul, Phygellus hurt & disappointed Paul by ignoring him during Paul's last imprisonment at Rome. Perhaps it was fear of guilt by association, perhaps it was a quarrel over doctrine that led Phygellus and his associate Hermogenes to refuse to help Paul in his hour of need. 2 Timothy 1:15
^^#Hermogenes = (pronounced: her'-mah-genees) was an early Christian who was one of Paul's helpers. Also, one of those in Asia who deserted Paul during the Apostle's final imprisonment. Paul did not elaborate to Timothy on exactly what Hermogenes had done, but implied that fear of guilt by association may have been the the thrust behind the defection of himself, Phygellus, and all the others from Asia. 2 Timothy 1:15
^^^#Onesiphorus = (pronounced: On-eh-sif'-or-us) was a loyal friend of Paul, who at a time when everyone else was avoiding contact, took risks and effort to hunt for Paul's whereabouts when Paul was in a roman prison. Onesiphorus was from Ephesus and was an active member of the Christian fellowship there. Paul's recollection of Onesiphorus' ministry at Ephesus suggest that Onesiphorus was a deacon in that church. Onesiphorus' kindness to Paul in the roman prison came at a time when Paul was alone and friendless - and was deeply appreciated. 2 Timothy 1:16
The Book of 1 Timothy can best be titled, 'Leadership Manual(a book of instructions; a handbook) for Church(derived from the late Greek kyriakon which meant “the Lord's house”; Yeshua referred to "the church" as individual believers coming together as “the body of Christ” that He nourishes and cares for as He does Himself (Ephesians 5). The church is His glorious temple, in which He is pleased to dwell (1 Corinthians 6:19 & Revelation 21:3))Organization(a group of people who work together)' because the theme of this Pauline Epistle is to encourage Timothy in organization and oversight(watching over something; the responsibility for making sure something is working properly) of the Asian churches, as a faithful minister(one who serves, as distinguished from the master; a watchman of a local Body of Believers) of *Elohim.
The ^Apostle Paul writes this letter as a reference(a source of information, a mention of information) manual for leadership so that Timothy will have effective guidance for his work during Paul's absence in Macedonia (3:14 & 15). Paul want to encourage and exhort his younger assistant to become an example to others, exercise his spiritual gifts, and "fight the good fight of faith" (1:18, 4:12-16, 6:12 & 20). ^^Timothy's personal and public life must be above reproach(meaning that one cannot honestly be accused of wrongdoing); and he must be ready to deal with matters of false teaching, organization, discipline, proclamation of the Scriptures, poverty & wealth, and the roles of various groups. Negatively, he is to refute error (1:7-11 & 6:3-5); positively, he is to teach the truth (4:13-16 & 6:2, 17 & 18).
Timeframe: 62 - 63 A.D.
Key Verses: 1 Timothy 3:15, 16; 6:11-12 - "But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of Elohim, which is the church of the Living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy(dispute or argument in which people express strong opposing views) great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh worn by **Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, justified is the ***Ruach HaKo'desh, seen by ****angels, preached among the ^^^Gentiles, believed on by the world, and received(#raptured)up into glory" (3:15 & 16) … "But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses" (6:11 & 12).
Key Chapter: 1 Timothy 3 - Listed in Chapter 3 are the qualifications for the leaders of God's Church, the elders & deacons. Notably absent are qualities of worldly success or positions.
Paul's last three recorded letters, written near the end of his full and fruitful earth life, were addressed to his authorized(power given to act; to carry out a specific act)representatives(a person who has been chosen to act or make decisions on behalf of another person) Timothy & ^^^^Titus - these are the only letters Paul wrote exclusively to individuals; and they are designed to exhort and encourage Timothy & Titus in their ministry of solidifying the churches in Ephesus & Crete. In the 18th Century, these ##epistles came to be known as the Pastoral Epistles even though they do not use any terms such as shepherd, pastor, flock, or sheep - still, this title is appropriate for 1 Timothy & Titus, since they focus on the oversight of church life. It is less appropriate in the case of 2nd Timothy, which is a more personal .. rather than church-oriented letter.
The chapters of 1 Timothy can be broken down into specific sections: (1) Concerning Doctrine (2 & 3) Concerning Public Worship (4) Concerning False Teachers (5) Concerning Church Discipline (6) Concerning Pastoral Duties; in addition, there was an insidious doctrine being taught that godliness will eventually result in material blessing- Paul, in no uncertain terms, states to Timothy … "from such, withdraw yourself"(6:5).
If you are involved in - or attending - a "prosperity preaching" church: close your ears to any further lies, and get out asap!
Before we begin today's study, be forewarned that many will be offended by what they read in a certain portion of this epistle - too bad. Suck it up. Life is hard - and so is reality. People in generations past had servants … people, today, have servants(one that serves others; domestic helper = especially: a person performing household or personal services. Etymology. Middle English servant "servant," from early French servant (same meaning)), from a form of servir "to serve," from Latin servire "to be a slave, serve," from servus "slave, servant" - related to serf). Get over yourself, shelf the pious anger(primarily motivated by a perception of injustice or other profound moral lapse), and better yourself by applying the message of The Word to your life, with full understanding of what words mean in the context they are used.
Yeshua, Himself, came to Earth as a bondservant (Matthew 20:28, Mark 10:45, Philippians 2:5-7 & 1 Corinthians 7:22), and true Christians today, following in the footsteps of Early Church teaching … also refer to themselves as "bondservants of Christ" (Mark 9:35 = Romans 1:1, James 1:1, 2 Peter 1:1, & Jude 1:1). The term 'bondservant' describes someone who willingly gave themselves into servitude.
I teach - and post - the entire Word.
I do not cherry-pick, omit, or distort the Word to satisfy personal whims.
I am not overly concerned with feelings - which come from the heart and more often that not, lead people away from truth & salvation (Jeremiah 17:9-10 & Mark 7:21-23); I am more concerned with getting the Good News out, which leads to knowledge and eternal life. That is my goal - I am not going to be pulled into arguments fueled by emotions.

1 TIMOTHY ~ Chapter 6
Exhortation To Servants
(vv. 1 & 2)
"Let as many servants as are under the yoke(to be under the oppressive control or burden of someone or something, like being forced to endure a difficult situation) count their own(personal)masters(a person who has control over a particular situation) worthy of all honor, so that the name of Elohim and His doctrine may not be blasphemed(the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for Elohim)~ (Ephesians 6:5)
And those who have believing masters, let them not despise(to look down on with disrespect: to regard as worthless, or distasteful) them because they are brethren, but rather serve(perform duties or services) them because those who are benefited are believers and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.
Exhortation To Godliness With Contentment
(vv. 3 thru 16)
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness - he is proud and knows nothing; but is obsessed(to be so bothered with, or interested in something, that you can't stop thinking about it) with disputes(aimless debate; discuss heatedly) and arguments(hold fast to an opinion or view; accuse; blame) over words, from which come every envy(a strong longing for what someone else has), strife(quarrel; war), reviling(to verbally abuse or attack someone with hatred or anger. It can also mean to publicly shame, threaten, or injure someone. Reviling is a form of verbal sin that includes slander, name-calling, and foul language), evil suspicions(unfounded negative thoughts about others that can lead to harmful judgments and damaged relationships), useless wrangling's(constant frictions; pointless arguments or quarrels that are contrary to the unity of the Christian community) of men of corrupt minds(a state of being dishonest or immoral; having a loss of moral integrity) and destitute of the truth(ignorant or willfully blind to the correct information or reality) - who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
Now godliness(a life of devotion to God that honors him in all aspects of life) with contentment(satisfaction and acceptance that comes from knowing Elohim's Will, and trusting Him with everything; a habit or permanent way of thinking, rather than a feeling about a specific event or thing) is great gain (Hebrews 13:5).
For we have brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out: having food and clothing - with these, we should be content (Proverbs 30:8 & 9).
But those who desire to be rich, fall into temptation(a strong urge to knowingly do wrong) and a snare(a carefully constructed trap) … and into many foolish and harmful lusts(an overwhelming longing for something someone else has, someone you desperately want - a forbidden, or taboo experience; can relate also to sexual desires) which drown (soak, drench, overcome) men in destruction(violent action causing physical death; ruination) and perdition (a state of eternal damnation or punishment for the wicked and those who reject Yeshua). For the love of money(a desire for wealth that can lead to bad actions and is often considered a form of idolatry) is the root(comes from the Latin word radix, which means "starting point," and you can think of the root of something as the place it starts from) of all kinds of evil (a condition of depravity that goes against Elohim's Will and nature; perverse behavior lacking moral decency), for which some have strayed(to wander away, as from the correct path) from the Faith(belief and trust in and loyalty to Elohim; trust and confidence in Elohim and His promises, even when you can't see Elohim or how He's working) in their greediness(inordinate desire for money, power, and security that can override moral and spiritual integrity; an excessive or extreme desire that can be harmful or lead to dissatisfaction), and pierced(stabbed) themselves through with many sorrows(a feeling of grief, pain, or affliction that can be caused by sin or tragic circumstances).
But you, O man of God, flee(avoid, or to leave) these things and pursue(follow, or seek)righteousness(live justly, honestly, and faithfully according to God's instruction), godliness, faith, love, patience(suffering, enduring or waiting, as a determination of the will and not simply under necessity), gentleness(humble, meek, and kind; softness of manners = polite, considerate approach; mildness of temper = friendly and likable; sweetness of disposition = easy to get along with); fight the good fight of Faith = stay on the straight and narrow; preach the truth of the Gospels, lay hold on eternal life - to which you were called and have confessed(to acknowledge the truth, sins, or faith openly) the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
I urge you in the sight of Elohim, Who gives life to all things; and before Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, Who witnessed the good confession before ^^^^^Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment(direction of Elohim, concerning particular matters) without spot(anything that soils purity), blameless(free from guilt or fault) until our Lord Yeshua Ha'Mashiach's appearing(return to Earth; Second Coming), which He will manifest in His own time - He, Who is the blessed and onlyPotentate(Head Ruler; undivided sovereignty or rule of a single person; there is no higher authority), the King of kings(power and authority over all kings and worldly powers) & Lord of lords(a title used to describe Yeshua's supremacy and authority over all rulers and creation); Who alone has immortality(condition free from both death and decay), dwelling in unapproachable light(a phrase that describes Elohim's dwelling place and the gulf between God and humans; Elohim's immense glory and overwhelming holiness), Whom no man has seen or can see: to Whom be honor and everlasting power(not subject to time; no limits of duration period), Amen (Daniel 2:22 & John 6:46).
Exhortation To The Rich
(vv. 17 thru 19)
Command those who are rich in the present age not to be haughty(having an attitude of arrogance, pride, and ego-driven towards others), nor to trust in uncertain riches(wealth that is unstable, inconsistent, or can be taken away easily; avoid materialism = do not treat materials as idols, putting them in a place reserved only for Yeshua), but in the Living God - Who gives us richly all things to enjoy (Jeremiah 9:23). Let themdo good(Psalm 37:3 tells us to “do good,” = to represent our Father in heaven, Who is good), that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come(laying the groundwork for a righteous and meaningful future according to Elohim's Will; building one's life on the solid rock of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach); that they may lay hold of eternal life (Matthew 6:20-21 & 19:21).
Fifth Charge: "Guard What Was Committed!"
(vv. 20 & 21)
O Timothy! Guard(be watchful, protective, and to avoid negative influences) what was committed(an agreement or pledge to do something) to your trust(a firm belief in the reliability, truth, or strength of someone), avoiding(keep away; do not get involved) the profane(Latin root profanus means "unholy,") and vain(empty, worthless, or without value)babblings(speech that is foolish, incoherent, or meaningless = to talk idly or irrationally; to talk thoughtlessly; to talk much) and contradictions (different than what has been said or affirmed; denial) of what is falsely called knowledge = empty chatter: by professing(to openly declare or affirm one's faith, beliefs, or allegiance; to tell; to show; to share) it, some have strayed concerning the Faith. Grace(a supernatural help from Elohim, granted in consideration of the merits of Christ) be with you. Amen."

*Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾּlōhīm: (eloˈ(h)im) is a Hebrew word meaning "Gods – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit". Although the word is plural in form, in the Hebrew Bible it usually refers to a single deity “Behold, the Lord – the Lord is One”, particularly the God of Israel.
**Yeshua Ha’Mashiach: is Hebrew for “Jesus the Messiah”; the name Jesus is the Greek form of the Hebrew name Yeshua.
Christ (from the Hebrew word, Ha’Mashiach ישוע המשיח & the Greek word, Christos/khris-tos) = The Anointed, Yeshua the Messiah, in both languages.
***Ruach HaKo'desh (The Hebrew language phrase ruach ha-kodesh is pronounced ROO-akh-KOH-desh: רוח הקודש, "holy spirit" also transliterated ruaḥ ha-qodesh) is used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה); the Holy Spirit occurs 90 times in the Brit Chadashah.
****Angel: (n) – a spiritual being in position of attendant, agent, or messenger of Elohim (often represented in human form with wings and a long robe).
^^^Gentile = person who is not Jewish. The word stems from the Hebrew term ha-goyim, “the nations,” meant nations of the world that were not Hebrew.
^^^^Titus = a Greek who converted to Christianity, became one of Apostle Paul's most trusted and able assistants. Although Paul earlier had insisted that Timothy be circumcised, he refused to allow Titus to be circumcised in order to demonstrate once and for all to the Judaizers (then undermining Paul's work) that it is faith in Yeshua Ha'Mashiach that saves. Paul presented Titus as living proof of this doctrine at the Jerusalem Council. Titus continued to serve as Paul's preaching companion and troubleshooter. He was particularly useful in straightening out problems in the churches at Corinth after Timothy had failed, at Ephesus - and later, at Crete. The last mention of him in the New Covenant, 2 Timothy 4:10, states that Paul planed to send Titus to Dalmatia. The early church fathers, and others, link Titus closely to Crete, where he was supposed to have served as bishop and later, died. 2 Corinthians 2:13; 7:6, 13 & 14; 8;6, 16, &23; 12:18; Galatians 2:1 & 3; 2 Timothy 4:16; & Titus 1:4.
The Jerusalem Council: was a meeting of Christian leaders in Jerusalem around 50 CE. The council was called to decide whether Gentile Christians should follow Jewish law. The council's decision established that Gentile Christians did not need to follow most Jewish laws.
^^^^^Pontius Pilate = a hard-boiled army man, Pontius Pilate was the inept 5th Roman prosecutor of the province of Judea. He was a bad selection for such an explosive area, and immediately showed an insensitivity that brought the province to the brink of revolt. Moving his headquarters to Jerusalem, Pilate offended everyone by needlessly insisting upon bringing the hated and blasphemous Roman eagles and standards into the area overlooking the Temple. A violent 5-day demonstration erupted. In the end, Pilate was forced to remove the emblems. Next came the episode of the water mains: Pilate decided to raid the Temple treasury to improve the Jerusalem water system - this time, when the mob gathered to protest, Pilate turned his soldiers loose and massacred many. Third, came the episode of the shields, which Pilate had hung in Herod's palace. This time the emperor, himself, forced Pilate to back down. His vacillation before the authorities and the crowd during Yeshua's trial shows him as an impatient, unsympathetic opportunist. Part of the irony of the crucifixion was the fact that a representative of the best government in the ancient world had such a key role. Pilate was removed from office in 36 AD by the Emperor Vitellus after Pilate senselessly wiped out an entire village of Samaritans. He is the subject of many stories; some say that he was beheaded by Nero - others, that he committed suicide; still, others that he was banished to Vienna. His body was said to have been dumped in Lake Pilatus in Switzerland. Only the Abyssinian church (the church's name comes from Abyssinia, the ancient name of Ethiopia) has ever made a saint of Pilate, offering their belief that before his death, he prayed to Yeshua for forgiveness. Matthew 27; Mark 15; Luke 3:1, 13:1 & 23:1 thru 52; John 18 & 19; Acts 3:13, 4:27, & 13:28; 1 Timothy 6:13.
#Rapured = Biblically understood to mean the sudden transformation and catching up of all Christians, to meet Yeshua in the air - as He, Himself was caught up into Heaven following His resurrection; End Time belief among born-again Christians is that both living and dead Believers will take part in this occurrence. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 & 1 Corinthians 15:51-58.
##Epistles = letters written to Christians by apostles and other figures. The word "epistle" comes from the Greek word epistolḗ which means "letter".
MY MINISTRY AUTHORIZATION: (https://roadgypsiesvalandholland.blogspot.com/2025/02/my-ministry-authorization.html)
Recap:^Paul, the aged & experienced #apostle, writes to the young ##pastor ^^Timothy, who is facing a heavy burden of responsibility(the weight of duty and honor that comes with certain privileges) in the ^^^Church at Ephesus:
Asia Minor during the time Paul wrote the Letters of 1 Timothy.
Evidence From Ephesus For The Reliability of Scripture: https://biblearchaeologyreport.com/2017/11/06/evidence-from-ephesus-for-the-reliability-of-scripture/
It is believed that historical timeframes place Paul in Philippi around A.D. 62 - 63, where he wrote the 1 Timothy letters (3:14 & 15). He wrote these letters to Timothy, who was serving as his representative(a person who speaks or acts on behalf of a group or another person; representatives are often chosen because they share similar characteristics or viewpoints with the group they represent) in Ephesus - and perhaps in other churches in the province of Asia. In biblical times, Asia Minor was a region in southwest Asia that included most of modern-day Turkey. It was a key region in the Early Christian Mission … and the birthplace of the first Christian Churches.
The task assigned to Timothy is challenging - false doctrine(a different teaching and does not agree with the sound words of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach and Scriptural teaching that accords with godliness) must be erased(to destroy all traces of; remove completely), public worship safeguarded(to protect someone or something from harm or destruction), and mature leadership(the ability to demonstrate self-awareness, emotional regulation, and ethical decision-making; mature leaders are humble, value others, and are lifelong learners) developed. In addition to the conduct(behavior = examples include how they treat others, follow rules, and take responsibility) of the Church, Paul talks pointedly(direct; no wiggle room) about the conduct of the minister. Timothy must be on his guard lest his youthfulness become a liability(to hold back; prevent), rather than an asset(advantage = benefit; resource), to the ^^^^Gospel. He must be careful to avoid false teachers and greedy motives (selfish and excessive desires for more than what is needed; to want more of anything - including money, power, possessions, or status), pursuing instead righteousness(live in accordance with Elohim's teachings, which include faith, love, and generosity), Godliness(a life that honors God and is characterized by reverence and devotion), faith(complete confidence or trust in a person or thing; loyalty or allegiance to a person or cause = in Christianity, faith is trust in God and his promises, even & especially if those promises cannot yet be seen to be happening), love(defined by Yeshua as putting others before oneself; a selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love that is patient, kind, and forgiving), perseverance(the ability to endure and keep going through challenges, difficulties, and setbacks), and the gentleness(showing care and respect for others in action, and speaking) that befits(be appropriate for = especially in the context of a believer's actions, attitudes, and behaviors) a man of God.
Paul's letters were sent to strengthen his young protégé(noun - pro·té·gé ˈprōt-ə-ˌzhā : a person under the care or training of someone influential) to boldly preach the Gospel message that *Yeshua Ha’Mashiach is the "one Mediator(comes from the Latin word medius, which means middle = middleman) between **Elohim and men (2:5), and '***Elohei was manifest(to make clear or show plainly) in the flesh, justified by the ****Ruach HaKo'desh, seen by ####angels, preached among the #####Gentiles, believed on(an older, less commonly used form of the phrase "believe in") in the world, and received up(appears in Acts 1:2 and Mark 16:19, referring to the changing of location = a physical rising in an upward direction of Yeshua, into =!Heaven) in glory(praise, honor; magnificence or great beauty)'(3:16). Yeshua is the source of spiritual strength, faith, and love (1: 12 & 14); He 'came into this world to save(to rescue or deliver from danger or harm; to preserve or guard from injury, destruction, or loss)sinners(those whose behavior was considered outside of Elohim's moral, ceremonial, civil Law in an open and obvious way)' (1:15) and 'gave(willfully & freely give- to offer; to present) Himself a ransom(from the Hebrew word (kofer) = the basic meaning of covering) for all' (2:6) as 'the Savior of all men - especially of those who believe' (4:10).

Listed in 1 Timothy 3 are the qualifications for Leaders of Elohim's Body - the elders & deacons. Notably absent are qualities of worldly success or position. Instead, Paul enumerates (to list or count off, one by one)Character qualities(traits that make up a person's overall character; these descriptions can be physical, emotional, mental, or moral) demonstrating that true leadership emanates from our walk with Elohim, rather than from achievements or vocational(skillful) success.

1 TIMOTHY ~ Chapter 5
How To Treat All People
(vv. 1 thru 16)
"Do not rebuke(a strong expression of disapproval, reproof, or correction) an older man, but exhort(cheer, inspire, pep up, root on; gently urge)him as a father, the younger men as brothers, the older women as mothers, the younger women as sisters; with all purity. Honor widows who are really widows. But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show piety(a quality of reverence and devotion to Yeshua, along with respect for others; the practice of living in obedience to Elohim's will) at home and to repay their parents - for this is good and acceptable before Elohim.
Now she - who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in Elohim and continues in supplications and prayers night and day (Acts 26:7). But she, who lives in pleasure(generations of philosophers, as far back as ancient days, describe pleasure as: sense, wealth, skill, amity = questionable friendships, a good name, power, piety, benevolence, malevolence = spiteful behaviors, memory, imagination = a human faculty - thought process that traffics in images, symbols, myths, and stories, expectation, pleasures dependent on association, and the pleasures of sexual relief), is dead(willful separation from Elohim, which unchecked will lead to eternal separation) while she lives.
And these things command(to order, direct, or charge someone to do something, often with authority; to govern, or lead), that they may be blameless(someone who diligently seeks to obey God, so that other people have no room to criticize their conduct).
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith(faith is more than just believing in God's existence; it's trusting in him for salvation and surrendering your life to him) and is worse than an unbeliever(someone who doesn't believe in Jesus Christ and the authority of the Scriptures)~(Isaiah 58:7 & Matthew 18:17).
Do not let a widow(The Hebrew word translated "widow" is almana [h"n'm.l; ], and it signifies a married woman whose husband has died and who remains unmarried)under 60 years old be taken into the count(record, panel, slate, listing. any list, roll, or register)… and not unless she has been the wife of only 1 man, well reported for good works: if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the ^^^^^saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed every good work.
But refuse the younger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton(excessive, rebellious, or sexually immodest) against Yeshua, they desire to marry, having condemnation because they have cast off their first solemn promise to the Faith. And besides - they learn to be idle(lacking productivity, being lazy, or inactive; failing to use resources or time wisely, or to not fulfilling responsibilities), wandering from home to home, and not only idle but also gossips(a tattler; tattletale = usually about other people's business) and busybodies(someone who meddles in the affairs of others, often in an uninvited way), saying things which they ought not. Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, manage the house, give no opportunity to the adversary(an opponent or enemy who opposes Elohim's Will or His People; the term is often used to refer to Satan, the embodiment of evil) to speak reproachfully(from the Hebrew word "cherpah" (חֶרְפָּה), which can mean disgrace, shame, or scorn). For some have already turned aside after *****Satan.
If any believing man or woman has widows in their family, let them relieve(to free someone or something from pain, distress, or burden; to provide comfort or support) them, and do not let the Church be burdened(weighed down, or carrying a heavy load) - that it may relieve those who really are widows, having no one to look out after them.
How To Treat The Elders
(vv. 17 thru 20)
Let the ###elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the Word(relating to the Bible, or in accordance with the Scriptures) & doctrine(the teachings of Scripture that establish the foundation of Biblical belief). For Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain', & Yeshua said, 'The laborer is worthy of his wages.'
Do not receive an accusation(a charge of wrongdoing) against an elder except from 2 or 3 witnesses(people present a testimony about the truth of what they personally have seen, experienced, or heard).
Those who are sinning(going against God's will, or disobeying God's laws and commandments), rebuke(a strong expression of disapproval, reproof, or correction)in the presence of all, that the rest will fear Elohim and cease.
Fourth Charge: Observe These Things Without Prejudice
(vv 21 thru 25)
I charge you before Elohim & Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, and the elect angels(Satan was able to deceive many angels in his rebellion, and those creatures became “fallen” angels, or demons (Matthew 25:41; Revelation 12:3–4) - in contrast, the angels who remained faithful to the Elohei are known as “holy angels” or “elect angels” (Mark 8:38)), that you observe(to take notice of, to keep, to celebrate; also means to act upon or comply with commands) these things without prejudice(a bias or unfair judgment based on differences), doing nothing with partiality(showing favoritism)~(Deuteronomy 1:17).
Do not lay hands on anyone(place one's hands on or over, especially in confirmation = be careful and not appoint someone to a leadership position)hastily(too quickly), nor share in other people's sins: keep yourself pure(the quality of being faultless; uncompromised)~(Ephesians 5:6-7).
No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent(often = many times)infirmities(weakness, disease, or suffering).
Some men's sins are clearly evident(clearly seen or understood), preceding(coming before the set time) them to judgment(Elohim's separation of the righteous from the wicked; the wicked being sent to Hell) - but those of some men, follow later (Galatians 5:19-21).
Likewise, the good works of some are clearly evident - and those that are otherwise(quietly busy doing Elohim's Will), cannot be hidden(kept secret)."

^^^Church = The word translated "Church" is the translation of the Greek term ekklesia, and is used in the New Covenant (New Testament) to identify the community of believers in Yeshua Ha'Mashiach. This word is the Greek words kaleo (to call), with the prefix ek (out). Thus, the word means "the called out ones."
However, the English word "Church" does not come from ekklesia but from the word kuriakon, which means "dedicated to the Lord."
^^^^Good News = Gospel: the word is derived from the Anglo-Saxon term, god-spell, meaning “good story”; Biblically speaking, gospel is a rendering of the Latin evangelium and the Greek euangelion, meaning “good news” or “good telling”.
#Apostle (/əˈpɒsəl/) = in its literal sense, is an emissary.
##Pastor = mentioned in the New Covenant (New Testament), pastor means a leader of a congregation; an overseer. The term "pastor" comes from the Latin word pastor, which means "shepherd".
###Elders = In both the Old and New Testaments, the term "elder" indicates one of advanced age (Heb. zaqen [eqz]; Gk. presbyteros [presbuvtero"]) who had a office of leadership within the People of God.
####Angel: (n) – a spiritual being in position of attendant, agent, or messenger of Elohim (often represented in human form with wings and a long robe).
#####Gentile = person who is not Jewish. The word stems from the Hebrew term ha-goyim, “the nations,” meant nations of the world that were not Hebrew.
**Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾּlōhīm:(eloˈ(h)im) is a Hebrew word meaning "Gods – Father, Son, & Holy Spirit". Although the word is plural in form, in the Hebrew Bible it usually refers to a single deity “Behold, the Lord – the Lord is One”, particularly the God of Israel.
***Elohei: is a Hebrew word that means "my God". It is a personal form of the name "Elohim", which is a common name for God in the Bible.
****Ruach HaKo'desh(The Hebrew language phrase ruach ha-kodesh is pronounced ROO-akh-KOH-desh: רוח הקודש, "holy spirit" also transliterated ruaḥ ha-qodesh) is used in the Hebrew Bible and Jewish writings to refer to the spirit of YHWH (רוח יהוה); the Holy Spirit occurs 90 times in the Brit Chadashah.
*****Satan (aka: Lucifer) = A name for the leader of the devils; an angel who was cast from heaven into hell because he rebelled against Elohim. Lucifer is usually identified with Satan. The name Lucifer, which means “bearer of light” or “morning star,” refers to his former splendor as the greatest of the angels (Isaiah 14:12-15).
=!Heaven: The Hebrews acknowledge three heavens – the atmosphere surrounding Earth; the firmament of outer space, in which the stars are placed; and the heaven of Heavens, or third heaven, which is the residence of Elohim.
Among Christians, Heaven is the place where the omnipresent God of Gods dwells and manifests His supreme glory; this habitation of Elohei is represented by the residence of angels and the blessed spirits of those who are rewarded eternal salvation.
