Hi 👋 We're Val & Holland Redmill … living our Life Story as silver-haired Road Gypsies in our 5th wheel RV Home~40 months married & 60,000 miles traveled across America; covered in grace every Day & trying mightily not to lose our sanctification during the bad & ugly times. I post everywhere - about everything: and if what I post can help someone else, I'm glad for the experience. But from sunrise to sunset, we live our Life for US. Trusting Elohim every step of the way.
GOD KNEW I NEEDED YOU

This morning, Holland got Independence's batteries switched out - he's been wanting to do that for some time, but was reluctant to spend the big $$$$ required: I'm glad he finally did it:
I'm glad Holland finally broke down and got the battery he's been talking about since we started this venture … the old was switched out this morning 💪👍
Afterwards, we drove to the recycling bins down the street and got rid of the cardboard - then, it was to the beach we went: my husband has to have his daily [ocean fix] 😁
Ocean Park Beach Access is maybe 5 minutes from where Independence is set up, in Ocean Park-WA
While there, we saw that huge dumpsters had been place at the upper end of the beach to collect last night's firework's:

We also saw that this end of the peninsula beach was packed with people, vehicles, kites, paragliders, seagulls & pelicans …
Very breezy & murky - a lot of sand kicked up by wind & tires; Ocean Park-WA
The beachfront is very busy, today.
Warm - but very windy; the bustled air resembled a mirage.

This kite looks like an over-sized Guppy.
That thing in the distance only showed up after this picture was snapped off - Holland thinks it's a boat in a wave trough …
So, the thing in the ocean distance - can't be seen with the naked eye (this picture was zoomed out to see the kids stretched out on the sand), but Holland says the "pillar-arch thing" probably belong to a fishing boat, or a trawler boat, that was down in a wave trough and crested just as I snapped the picture off. That makes sense … but it sure looks weird 😉
Powered paraglider; Ocean Park-WA
And my husband inadvertently messed up the 'picture-perfect-moment' 😟
All calm again - but I missed the paraglider landing 😕
Brown Pelicans; Ocean Park-WA
I've never seen any part of this beach, this busy - ever: but Holland has, many times. Today's business is "not that busy" to his way of thinking; Ocean Park-WA
We spent at least 2 hours just sitting in Betsy watching all the various activities, before heading back home to relax and enjoy each other 👩❤️💋👨
I'm just going to post some of today's highlights … I'm actively following what headlines are printing following President Trump's strike on iran, the other day.
Fox News - 'Keane: We are 'on the cusp' of ending Iran's 'malign and aggressive behavior' in region':
'THE GAME IS UP': Rubio says Iran's days of 'playing the world' are over:

Iran fires back after Trump strikes nuclear facilities: US 'blew up' diplomacy:

9 News Australia - 'U.S. braces for Iran's response; Australia supports U.S. strikes':
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0KpTx5QAHM
Even so, I am not allowing the world's chaos to dominate my small corner of the world 🙏 - my exclusive and ultimate concern, is for my personal Life.
That trumps Trump's actions: no pun intended.
So, I will let the following pictures tell today's story 😉

Huge Great White Shark Kite; last year, this fella flew a gigantic Orca.

I was wondering if this bulk on the sand was a beached whale; but upon closer inspection, we saw that it was a fire damaged palm tree top connected to a pole & cement bracing; Holland thinks it may have washed up on this beach, from CA or Hawaii.
Pretty little lavender & magenta hued wild sweetpea blossoms … purple sweetpeas signify success: Holland & I believe that regardless of what we are struggling through - {WE} will succeed 🩹💕👩❤️💋👨🕊️💯

My heart was gladdened to read that my Graysriver friend, who has recently been hospitalized & laid low … is doing much netter: better enough to drive to Church Service this morning 😊
I am dedicated to getting back into the clothes hanging in my closet that haven't seen the light of Day since we started Road Gypsying - I am sticking to daily indoor exercises and light meals.
September 19th: Yesterday was a bit chilly and dark with low-lying gray clouds; but we drove to Cranberry Road to wave watch, anyway - and I'm glad we did, because pelicans touched down mere feet from us :-)
And, the scent on the ocean breeze carried a definite Autumn vibe.
15 Cool & Interesting Things About Brown Pelicans: (https://ca.audubon.org/news/15-cool-and-interesting-things-about-brown-pelicans#:~:text=The%20Brown%20Pelican%20is%20the,a%20beautiful%20and%20intelligent%20flyer.)
Got 'em ;-)
For centuries, birds have been considered spiritual messengers from the universe.
Brown birds - it's believed to symbolize strength, knowledge, and protection. It's a reminder that everything is part of a divine plan and God is watching over you every step of the way.
With three stomachs, pelicans can digest fish, fins, spines, and all. In early church eras, the pelican was believed to pierce its own breast with its beak and feed its young of its blood. It became a symbol of Christ sacrificing himself for man – and because of this was frequently represented in Christian art.
The brown pelican was removed from the federal Endangered Species List in 2009. Brown pelicans now occur in substantial numbers in Washington's outer coastal waters, mainly from late April through October.
While we were sitting there listening to the incoming surf violently smack against the beachfront & watched the colorful kites dance on the chilled breeze, Holland mused about going south next month … or possibly waiting a month out in Tillamook-WA, until maintenance on Betsy is tended to & both hospital bills are paid down: he asked me what I wanted to do - I said I would okay with whatever he decided we should do.
I really am.
Colorful kites; Cranberry Road Access, Long Beach Peninsula-WA
Don't know what the white thing is with flapping fish behind it …
While I am Queen of the Home, Holland is King of the Road: he has traveled the road many times; I trust his judgement on travel judgments.
Repairs on Independence put us way behind road travel schedule, seriously chewed into our savings, and time dragged out until more big $$$ costs need attention before we heed the call to go south.
I'm perfectly fine with cooling our heels a bit longer, if that's what we have to do. I know we'll get to Yuma, eventually … and we'll get there together ;-)
Scorpions - 'When You Came Into My Life' lyrics: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WfD7nEoAWM)
A renewed commitment from Holland, & a sincere willingness to put US before anyone or anything going forward … besides, Christ of course, Who is Master over both of us.

Holland will; but all things will happen in Elohim's timing. We are in no hurry to embrace stress - if we must wait; then we will wait.
After supper, I finished up the little green preemie sacque - and designed a matching hat, to go with it.
Preemie sleep Sacque done. and ready for delivery.
MOD Preemie Hat.
===============
September 20th: Elohim spoke to my heart while I was snoozing this morning: he revealed something to me on a personal level (it just came out of nowhere, and caught me off-guard), and I am mulling over and seeking guidance on it.
I don’t argue with my Father – He knows best what is best for my life.
And I have trusted His Will for my life, all of my life.
So
On a different topic, this time of year, always makes me sleepy: I needed full-strength coffee, so I reached for the ground flavored coffee beans(I will buy LOTS more to store and take with us when we leave WA = there are NO coffee beans available a.n.y.w.h.e.r.e., down South), and perked a pot while Holland caught up on the sleep interrupted around 2 A.M. - Betsy's alarm system had loudly gone off, and Holland was hopelessly awake for 4 hours following that startling happening. We don't know what set it off; Holland checked all around it before falling back into bed … as I got up.
Coffee perkily perking while I was checking my Blog & FB messages, I saw a WW Recipe come up on my feed … so, I got busy making that for a brunch, when Holland gets up later; 2 hours later, the breakfast casserole's aroma wafting through the house gave off warm and cozy feelings of contented domesticity ;-)
I used 4 bacon sliced, chopped; instead of turkey sausage.
I was feeling very content with life in general.
Today dawned bright and sunny, with robin's egg blue skies and fluffy white clouds.
So, this chillin' sunny Sabbath afternoon, I am relaxing - first with wave watching, and companiable convo; then later enjoying a light Supper with my husband … & watching YouTube movies, while finishing up matching hats for the preemie sacques I already worked up.
Watching waves & waiting for 'shooter waves' ;-)
MOD Preemie Hat to match the finished sacque …
Enjoying the gentle Shabbat evening vibes as we set about purposefully creating a home sanctuary.
And giving my whole being a rest - with heartfelt gratitude.
Before Holland woke up, I had enjoyed a morning coffee & used my Peak Flow Meter; finishing up the trim work on another ABB while he drank his coffee and cleared the mental cobwebs.
Eye-opening reading, this morning :-( & I finished trimming the latest ABB.
Placing his coffee mug in the sink he asked if I'd like to go for a drive: and off we went.
I'm going to be brief in posting today's activities and let the pictures speak for themselves, because it's late tonight and we have an early morning tomorrow … and getting posts up with this new Blogger format t.a.k.e.s.a.l.o.t.o.f.t.i.m.e. (I'm still debating with myself about keeping my Blog up because of this format :-( )
A mirrored heart-shaped cloud in the peninsula sky ;-)
We started at Beard's Hollow and drove a beach drive loop back home through Oysterville - Holland had never driven through the little hamlet before, and I wanted to show him the little church: not a denomination I would be comfortable in, but it's pretty cool to see ;-)
Long Beach-WA: was laid out in 1880 by W.E. Willmore as Willmore City, the town was first settled in 1882. It was soon promoted as a seaside resort and was renamed (1888) for its 8.5-mile (13.5-km) beach.

Oysterville-WA: was established and named in 1854 by J.A. Clark. It was a hub of oyster farming as the name suggests. It was the seat of Pacific County until the seat was relocated to South Bend in 1893.

This looks like volcanic rock rubble; Beard's Hollow, Ilwaco-WA
Basaltic lava flows border the accreted land to the north and east; the steep cliffs that form North Head Bluff are rocks of the middle Eocene timeframe: these rocks are ancient lava flows that erupted underwater and were later scraped off onto the North American continent. These lavas are more resistant to erosion than sedimentary rocks, explaining why they form such prominent headlands in an area otherwise dominated by sandy beaches.
The waves are larger and wilder here, because the ocean slants deeper.

Huh … fanciful, or cryptic ;-); Seaview Beach Approach-WA
I saw a LOT going on with this particular cloud formation: 6 hearts, an atomic bomb mushroom cloud, a jellyfish (or a flying saucer); I couldn't decide if this cloud cluster was simply fanciful humor shaped by ocean winds - or an apocalyptic message ;-)
A cloudy human skull … or an alien face; do you see it?
