September 5th: We pulled stakes before the sun dawned, and parked very early along Lake Sacajawea so Holland could keep his A.M. Dr. appointment before we head out of town.
The Plan following the appointment was to visit family and friends, too … but time wouldn't allow for that: Holland also wants to get the oil changed in the 4x, which means we will be heading to Astoria-OR where it can get done before the snow flies.
Holland got the X-rays I requested (results won't be in for a few days), and I texted everyone to let them know we couldn't have our coffee chats until March 2024, when we come back this way … and off we drove to the coast.
When we passed through Chinook-WA, I mentioned that we should watch 'The Guardian' movie after Supper, since we were in the general vicinity of the filming: and Holland added a little personal info to the thought ;-)
Holland's family was among the most prominent contracting companies in the PNW because of the specialty work they do; so he has worked on major job sites through the years - locally, and 'cross Country.
Once we had parked Betsy and set Liberty up on a friend's beach lot, our furry boys got reacquainted … and we enjoyed a nice cool drink ;-)
