LIFE LATELY IS A PAIN IN THE ASS; Ocean Park-WA
MOD ANGEL BABY BLANKETS~Crochet 15" Angel Baby Blanket Patterns
I made these little scraps of blankets months ago … but we are Road Gypsies, and I finally this morning (while we are hunkered down on the PNW peninsula), able to find the time to write these pattern directions out :-)
All four of them are using simple stitches, so they make up very quickly ;-)
#1) MOD OPENWORK & LITTLE BLOCKS~15" Angel Baby Blanket
This pattern is an original design that uses three basic crochet stitches; it is very simple, and very easy to make.
Materials: Baby Yarn - I used a solid color (MC) White = girl & Blue = boy, and a contrasting color (CC) Lullaby Variegated = girl & Green = boy; #G/6 aluminum crochet hook; scissors; tapestry needle.
Terms used:
ch = chain
sts = stitches
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
ea = each
rpt = repeat
T = turn
Row 1: Begin with MC, and make a ch of 75 sts; turn and make a sc in 2nd st from hook - sc in ea ch to end (73 sc): T
Row 2: Ch 3; dc in 2nd ch from hook, & *ch 1 - skip 1 ch -dc in next st*; rpt from * to * across row (36 ct. openwork): T
Row 3: Ch 3 & skip a st, then dc x4 - skip next st … then work as follows *dc next st - skip next st - dc x5 - skip next st*; rpt from * to * across row, ending row with dc x4 - skip next st - dc last st (12 ct blocks): T
Row 4: Rpt row 3.
Repeat rows 2 through 4, working pattern as written - openwork posts on row 2 will not match posts of rows 3 & 4; it is designed that way.
Work pattern for a length of 15", and top piece with a row of sc. EO
Sl st a decorative line across ea block center; weave in ends.
Edge with CC for colorful edging as follows: at lower left side - with front of work facing you, sc in ea st around blanket making 2 sts in all corners (280 sc - including corner sts; 76 sc = top/bottom (includes the corner sts) & 64 sc down ea side).
#2) MOD FORGET-ME-NOT ~15" Angel Baby Blanket
This pattern is an easy, simple single crochet & double crochet pattern; it works up very quickly.
Materials: Baby Yarn - I used a solid color (MC), and a Variegated color (CC), but you could use two solids, or just work with one color; #G/6 aluminum crochet hook; scissors; tapestry needle.
Terms used:
mc = main color
cc = contrast color
ch = chain
sts = stitches
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
ea = each
rpt = repeat
T = turn
EO = end off
Make a ch of 62 sts. Work a foundation row of sc across; ch 3 – T.
Row 1: (1 dc, ch 2, 1 sc) in 1st st, *skip 2 sts, (2 dc, ch 2, 1 sc) in next st*; rpt from * to * across row – end 1 dc-ch 2-1 sc in last st.
Row 2 & following rows: Ch 2, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 sc) in ch 2 space of previous row, *(2 dc, ch 2, 1 sc) in ch 2 space of previous row*; rpt from * to * across row – end 1 dc-ch 2-1 sc in last st.
Work to a length of 15-inches.
Edge with CC as follows: at lower left side - with front of work facing you, sc in ea st around blanket making 2 sts in all corners.
#3) MOD FANCY STRIPES~15" Angel Baby Blanket
This pattern is another easy, simple pattern, using staggered single crochet stitches for a nicely colored effect; it works up very quickly.
Materials: Baby Yarn in two colors - a Variegated Blue (MC), and Yellow (CC); #G/6 aluminum crochet hook; scissors; tapestry needle.
Terms used:
ch = chain
sts = stitches
sc = single crochet
ea = each
rpt = repeat
T = turn
Row 1: Begin with MC, and make a ch of 62 sts; Work a foundation row of sc across; ch 1 – T.
Rows 1 & 2: With blue, sc across row. DO NOT CUT YARN - carry it up the side as you work the pattern rows.
Row 3: Attach yellow, and work across row as follows; *2 sc, 1 long sc made in the corresponding st of the previous row below*.
Row 4: With yellow, sc across row. DO NOT CUT YARN - carry it up the side as you work the pattern rows.
Rows 5 & 6: Picking up blue again, sc across row.
Row 7: Picking up yellow again, work across row as follows; 1 sc, *1 long sc made in the corresponding st of the previous row below, 1 sc in EA of the two end sts*.
Row 8: With yellow, sc across row.
Continue in set pattern for a length of 15". EO.
Edge with CC as follows: at lower left side - with front of work facing you, sc in ea st around blanket making 2 sts in all corners.
#4) MOD RIDGE STITCH~15" Angel Baby Blanket
This pattern is an easy, simple single crochet pattern throughout; it works up very quickly.
Materials: Baby Yarn - I used three solid colors: Mint Green, White & Baby Blue, (but you could use a single color … or two solids); #G/6 aluminum crochet hook; scissors; tapestry needle.
Terms used:
ch = chain
sts = stitches
sc = single crochet
sl st = slip stitch
ea = each
rpt = repeat
T = turn
Row 1: Begin with MC, and make a ch of 62 sts; Work a foundation row of sc across; ch 1 – T.
Row 2: *Work 1 sc, inserting hook into back loop at the head of EA st of previous row* across row; ch-T
Continue in set pattern for a length of 15". EO.
Edge with CC as follows: at lower left side - with front of work facing you, sc in ea st around blanket making 2 sts in all corners.

HOLLAND'S SEPARATION; Ocean Park-WA
Holland has left me … but he is keeping his old life; and everything that went with it.
Currently, we are sharing the same space because there really is nothing else to do - but our lives are 100% moving in different directions: he is permanently tied to a lost childhood, a cultic Redmill Religion, the oak point craziness, argumentative relatives, past broken relationships, a Neanderthal mindset, a narcissistic mindset, and a Vicodin addiction.
I knew about the redmill religion, and the oak point craziness … but he effectively hid the rest from me until I signed on the dotted line.
NOT COOL 🤬
I have tried to overlook the Vicodin addiction because I know he is in pain - but exactly how much pain is not clear. Personally I do not believe it justifies popping narcotics like candy. He disagrees.
I have met very few of his "friends" … he has begrudgingly met 5 of mine.
He does "not want to be where it is cold, wet, and snowy"; my dream had always been to be a road gypsy, and Holland has more than fulfilled that dream for me - we've covered all of the West, mid-west, CA & AZ.
What happens now, I don't know, but I do KNOW that I do not want to be on the road full-time anymore with a man who is argumentative 24/7/365.
I do not want to constantly be berated because he is still on the Past Life Treadmill where someone (family, friend turned foe, ex-girlfriend, ect.) "did him wrong" = therefore I might, too. It's nutty living.
All I want is to live a peaceful life where laughter, love, and the friendly touch is more important than getting hopeless lost in The Past.
Holland does not let me into his Life.
He keeps things from me - KNOWING that truthfulness is a #1 BIGGIE with me.
I married Holland in good faith, but honestly considering everything he constantly carps about, I can not fathom why he married me when he daily finds things wrong with e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g.I.s.a.y.a.n.d.d.o. I have come to understand that this is {the Redmill Way} … and perhaps THAT is the main problem: he is behaving exactly as the Redmill family does & I will never be a Redmill woman who accepts being treated badly/and or treats others badly.
I could say more, but I won't - what I've already shared is enough to help those who keep asking me how I am doing … see past the smile I wear in public. What I've shared in this post will also help those who are praying for me (or US; whatever is the case when they are praying) understand the warfare I have been dealing with since February 2023.
I was up-front with Holland before we married that I "do not do divorce; I marry for life": he was not up-front with me, concerning anything.
For a solid year he has been separating himself from me on a monthly basis.
Today is the final straw. I can't - no, let me REPHRASE - I will not do this anymore. For a solid year I have cried, smiled when I felt like crying, and tried to put a good face on a bad situation. But, I deserve better. I am better. And I'm moving on like he has (he wants a separation where he "doesn't have to answer to anyone": now he has one).
He's gonna miss me, bigtime.
This is not a "poor pitiful me, feel sorry for me" Post. This is a clarification Post for all the inquiring minds that have known for a while that things have been off-kilter. Now you know.

TIMES OF THE GENTILES ARE WRAPPING UP – Amir Tsarfati; The Olive Tree Ministries
A JOURNEY OF THE SPIRIT; Shabbat 2024~Ocean Beach-WA
My husband Holland has muslim friends, and family members: I am a Jew. muslims in general, make me nervous … and Holland knew this about me before we married. Since then, I have met Tim & his sister, Arta - and her 2 boys … Tim is a funny guy, and one of Holland's longest lasting friendships; Arta is also a fun person to be around, and her boys are handsome, gracious, and kind young men. But, given the way they are all living, and eating, they are not practicing muslims - Tim and Arta were born in a muslim country, but the boys were born in America, living fully American lifestyles.
My new husband is putting a lot of things, and people, in my Life that I normally would avoid - but ultimately, it is Elohim that has put these things in my Life; so, I will learn what needs to be learned, grow through experiences, and lend myself where necessary.
Last week, I was visiting some friends that I have not seen in about 18 months - last time I saw them was before Holland and I got together, married, and started touring America as Road Gypsies:
PARPALA ROAD Post: (https://roadgypsiesvalandholland.blogspot.com/2024/05/parpala-roadnaselle-wa.html)
Yesterday I was with my friends again; and one of them mentioned a book she just finished reading, and she said it may be helpful to me - so, it came home with me. I have started reading this book, and so far it promises to be enlightening.
Today is the Sabbath - a 24 hour 'island of rest' for me: a time of joy, good food & wine - one day a week Jews (even Messianic Jews like me) determine to declare a rest from the hustle and bustle around us, and purposefully usher in a truce between ourselves and the world.
I will be peacefully relaxing most of this Day, in acknowledgment of the Prince of Peace/Lord of the Sabbath.
I will be reading more chapters of this testimonial book.
I will be open to understanding - I will never accept muslim hate or terrorism, but I will prayerfully try to embrace those caught up in religious brainwashing, trusting Elohim for their deliverance into true freedom in Yeshua's love poured out on all mankind that will accept it.
I will enjoy the meal my thoughtful husband prepared for me, in advance - creating his own recipes relaxes him, and I am his willing guinea pig: they are always originally delicious :-)
I will be resting in the knowledge of the Ruach HaKo'desh at work.
